I really don’t know how many stars to give here. Under Waterloo and problems or repairs were dealt with immediately. Not so it seems under Platform. My theory is they’ve got too big for themselves. My boiler broke down on Wednesday, admittedly an engineer came out within a few hours. He had to turn off the boiler because a new part was needed to resolve the problem. He (engineer) put us down as high priority being as my wife is 78 and suffering with arthritis. I myself 77 have recently had a pacemaker fitted. We have now been without heating and hot water for three days. I’m assuming there’ll be no movement over the weekend. Which will add another two days. With the weather set to be getting colder, it’s going to be a very uncomfortable weekend.

Repairs and fittings are not designed to last any time. Cleanliness poor, rent pretty high. Lots gets lost in the ether whether it's complaints or repairs. You won't get updates you're supposed to get about serious matters. Some staff are nice and try to help but a lot are rude and obstructive and more just don't respond. If you are bidding I would advise avoiding this Housing Association. I have had to use several outside public agencies to pressure Platform into action in the past. They won't do anything without significant pressure. If you're already a tenant- record everything. Get everything in writing- you'll need it to go up through their complaints process and get resolutions. And even after all that you will still be treated rudely and probably go through the same stuff again because a. They never meet you so don't know who is who on a local level and b. The system and communication isn't joined up and nothing seems to be learned. And c. They're concerned with just the income. They also can't handle accessibility needs regarding communication.

Sadly I have to give even 1 star just to type this review. I am honestly beyond disgusted at how platform housing group have treated me. I have been the main tenant on a property for over 4 years and recently after my mother passing away, my partner at the time (now ex partner) cheated on me and changed the locks without my knowledge or consent. I have been back and forth with calls and emails to platforms teams even speaking with the housing officer ‘Julie’ who was biased towards my ex partner in the situation. All communication from platform has been shocking and that’s a huge understatement… no one that you call writes notes down or properly listens to you. No one communicates internally in a professional and efficient manner. I had handed in the notice to quit on the property as me and my ex partner both agreed it would not be fair for either of us to remain in the property as a sole tenant. Instead Julie and the rest of the platform team have enabled my ex partner to remain as a sole tenant and have now closed all the cases that were open in relation to very important and seriously formal complaints without any communication to myself. I seriously hope this company gets shut down because the amount of stress and anxiety you have all caused me is unforgivable. ABSOLUTELY VILE HOW THIS HAS BEEN HANDLED. AND ILLEGALLY!!

These photos are of toilet roll from my drains that have been blocked for the last 3 weeks. The drain company obviously did not do the job properly and I am having to hose this down every day! It is disgusting. I rang when my drains were first blocked and you sent a plumber who could not do the job as it needed a drain specialist 🤷🏻♀️ when the drain specialist arrived he used my hose pipe to do the job of unblocking my drains and not proper equipment which i presume is why they are still blocked. I have phoned numerous times about this and someone is apparently coming tomorrow and it will probably be a plumber who will say he can’t do the job because it needs either another drain specialist or a builder as the down pipe is completely broken away because of the blocked drains. I rang again yesterday to explain that there was raw sewage still leaking into my yard and I needed someone to look at this ASAP. I the. Had a text message this morning to say someone is coming on 23rd November!!! This is not good enough and my next step is my MP. Edit- I cannot actually attach any photos to my post. I wonder why you don’t want anyone to see what peoples’ issues really are! 😡

In a nutshell Platform housing are appalling not fit for purpose. At this present time I have my MP involved trying to sort out some rubbish collection that these jokers were responsible for, it's been months of broken promises regarding collection dates and times,on and on it goes. The attitude of this company towards its obligations is a complete disgrace, only interested in one thing maximum profit from its property portfolio at the expense of it's long suffering tenants... And don't come back with the usual generic reply about contacting this number and that number hiding behind your inadequacies is plain for all to see. Update. The rubbish has now been cleared months after the original request, the only reason for the clearance was the intervention of my local Member of Parliament. Make sure you write to your MP with your problem and put pressure on this excuse for a housing association. Just to remind tenants of Platform housings LEGAL obligations if they do not comply within the required legal time frame contact your MP, local newspaper,no win no fee solicitor (plenty on Google search) Housing ombudsman . Don't forget to keep records times dates etc etc. Housing associations are obligated to maintain the structure and exterior of a property, ensure heating, water, and electrical systems are in good working order, and keep common areas safe and maintained. They must also ensure the home is safe and free from hazards, responding to emergency repairs within 24 hours and offering temporary housing if necessary. Property and structural repairs Structure and exterior: This includes responsibility for the roof, external doors, walls, windows, and stairs. Central heating: The association must maintain the central heating system, including the boiler and pipes. Gas, electrics, and water: They are responsible for the wiring, gas pipes, and the system for the supply of water, sinks, baths, and toilets. Appliances: They are typically responsible for repairing any appliances they provided as part of the tenancy agreement, such as a washing machine. Common areas: If you live in an apartment building or shared house, they must maintain common areas like lifts, entrances, and shared drains. Health and safety Safe and fit for habitation: The property must be safe and suitable to live in for the duration of the tenancy. Emergency repairs: For emergency hazards, they must respond within 24 hours. If they cannot fix the issue in that timeframe, they must offer you temporary housing. Category 1 hazards: They have a duty to make sure the home is free from 'category 1 hazards,' which are serious dangers to your health. Additional responsibilities Tenancy agreement: The tenancy agreement may include additional obligations for the landlord beyond the legal minimums. Notifications: Landlords are usually required to carry out repairs after being notified of the problem.

We are MCS‑certified and registered with an approved consumer protection/competent person scheme, which is essential for quality assurance and to access grants like the Boiler Upgrade Scheme (BUS).
We carry out a detailed home assessment, including property type, insulation levels, existing heating system and available outdoor space, to confirm whether a heat pump is a good fit.
We design the system using a heat‑loss calculation for your home, then match the correct kW size and model (for example, air‑source vs ground‑source) so it runs efficiently and reliably.
Our fixed quote clearly lists the heat pump, cylinder, controls, labour, scaffolding (if needed), electrical work and any radiator or pipework upgrades, so you know exactly what you’re paying for.
Yes, as an MCS installer we can confirm your eligibility, apply for the BUS grant (worth up to £7,500) on your behalf and deduct it directly from your quote.
A typical air‑source heat pump installation takes around 2–5 days, and we’ll agree locations for the indoor and outdoor units, manage any planning considerations and keep you informed each day.
After the heat‑loss survey, we’ll advise if any radiators, pipework, electrics or hot‑water cylinder need upgrading so the system can run efficiently at lower flow temperatures.
Modern heat pumps are designed to be quiet and must meet UK noise regulations; we’ll position the unit to minimise any impact on you and your neighbours and comply with local planning rules.
You’ll get manufacturer warranties on the heat pump plus our workmanship guarantee, and we offer ongoing servicing and support to keep your system performing at its best.
We’ll estimate your likely annual running costs and potential savings based on your current fuel type, insulation level and tariffs, using real‑world performance data rather than lab figures.
