I am very pleased with work that aqueco has completed on my solar thermal system. The engineer was prompt and great at communicating, he had the pump replaced and system up and running in no time. A great outcome, I completely recommend aqueco.

Nick is amazing, really friendly, knowledgeable, detail-oriented, and very patient in explaining the ins and outs of heat pumps. He also knows lots of great people to help with various parts of the process (electrictian, landscape person, etc.). His team is very nice, too, very fast, reliable, and friendly. Especially Yang, who works on the administrative/communication end of things was extremely helpful. Overall, highly recommended.

This was an excellent jobs done from the initial consultation to the quote, to getting the actual invoice and the communication throughout the process until the work was completed. Not the cheapest between 5 other quotes I got but I have no regrets. I will use them again.

Nick at Aqueco came to my aid recently after a burst pipe and problem with controls for my underfloor heating. Honestly, I just went with the first plumber I could get, but I can tell you I have absolutely found my new 'go-to' plumber without question. Nick possesses all the traits you look for in a plumber or hearting engineer, he was great at communicating, swift and on time, extremely good at what he does (and keeping you informed of progress), reasonably priced, and incredibly professional. Having completely renovated two properties previously I can't tell you what a rare find Nick and Aqueco are in the trades. I always feel a sense of responsibility when I'm asked for recommendations, so I don't always make them, but for plumbing and heating services Nick is impeccable. Highly recommended 10/10.

Incredibly professional heating engineer, who is able to efficiently and quickly troubleshoot your system and correctly locate what the issue is. Nick was incredibly responsive and came to us over the holidays, and we subsequently used him to resolve the problem for us. He is polite, considerate, professional, helpful and above all, incredibly experienced. Nick knows boilers and heating systems inside and out and communicates very clearly. I have since recommended him to several friends who needed services of a gas certified heating engineer. One of them already reported how Nick was immediately able to locate an issue on their heating system (which previous plumber failed to locate over number of months and despite repeated visits following a new boiler installation, blaming our friends old system for issues arising from new boiler installation). I consider Nick a golden dust amongst heating service engineers. A+++

Frequently asked questions

How do I know you’re properly qualified and certified to install heat pumps?

We are MCS‑certified and registered with an approved consumer protection/competent person scheme, which is essential for quality assurance and to access grants like the Boiler Upgrade Scheme (BUS).

Can you tell me if a heat pump is actually suitable for my home?

We carry out a detailed home assessment, including property type, insulation levels, existing heating system and available outdoor space, to confirm whether a heat pump is a good fit.

What type and size of heat pump will you recommend for my property, and why?

We design the system using a heat‑loss calculation for your home, then match the correct kW size and model (for example, air‑source vs ground‑source) so it runs efficiently and reliably.

What will the full installation cost be, and what’s included in your quote?

Our fixed quote clearly lists the heat pump, cylinder, controls, labour, scaffolding (if needed), electrical work and any radiator or pipework upgrades, so you know exactly what you’re paying for.

Can you help me access government grants like the Boiler Upgrade Scheme?

Yes, as an MCS installer we can confirm your eligibility, apply for the BUS grant (worth up to £7,500) on your behalf and deduct it directly from your quote.

How much disruption should I expect during installation, and how long does it take?

A typical air‑source heat pump installation takes around 2–5 days, and we’ll agree locations for the indoor and outdoor units, manage any planning considerations and keep you informed each day.

Will I need to replace my radiators or upgrade anything else in my home?

After the heat‑loss survey, we’ll advise if any radiators, pipework, electrics or hot‑water cylinder need upgrading so the system can run efficiently at lower flow temperatures.

How noisy is the outdoor unit and where will it be installed?

Modern heat pumps are designed to be quiet and must meet UK noise regulations; we’ll position the unit to minimise any impact on you and your neighbours and comply with local planning rules.

What warranties, servicing and aftercare do you provide?

You’ll get manufacturer warranties on the heat pump plus our workmanship guarantee, and we offer ongoing servicing and support to keep your system performing at its best.

What running costs and savings can I realistically expect compared to my current boiler?

We’ll estimate your likely annual running costs and potential savings based on your current fuel type, insulation level and tariffs, using real‑world performance data rather than lab figures.
