New heat pump system and battery storage. Ian, James and Luke have performed a miracle to completely transform the central heating of our 500 year old house. All the new pipework & radiators that James and Luke have put in has been done neatly and sympathetically (and much more work that they had anticipated, but they knuckled down and got on with it). The heat pump we chose includes an inspection by a company engineer after installation - he pronounced our system "a really good one" and couldn't fault any part of it. If you want a job doing well (no corners cut, no safety regulations ignored or misunderstood) I would have no hesitation in recommending Electrical Compliance Ltd. Oh, and they are a nice bunch too Update: a year later ..... Return visit from Ian to fix a problem with our solar panels - he replaced a failed inverter (under warranty) but also gave the system a check and found a couple of failed optimizers than needed replacing too. In the same visit he fitted an upgrade to our air source heat pump to enable cooling in our house. Really good quality work from knowledgeable engineers at a very fair rate

Throughout the process of installing an air source heat pump and rewiring my property, Electrical Compliance Ltd has provided excellent service and been a pleasure to work with. Ian and James are extremely knowledgeable and were always ready to answer any questions and offer advice at all stages of the work, including post-installation. Nothing was too much trouble for them, and they were consistently professional, polite, conscientious and very hardworking. I cannot have asked for a better experience from a company, so would have no hesitation in using them again or recommending them for electrical or renewable energy work of any kind.

Ian installed my solar system for me and its working perfectly. I cannot recommend him enough. He explained everything and answered all my questions. All the work that was done looks tidy and professional. I will not hesitate to use him in the future, and will recommend him to anybody who needs an electrician who they can trust.

They removed my old oil boiler and replaced with Air Source Heat Pump. From the outset they impressed with communication, professionalism and explaining how they would carry out the works and when. They met and exceeded my expectations, Ian & James couldn't have been more helpful - the ASHP itself works very well and is a neat and professional installation. I would be happy to recommend them to anybody... top marks!!

Electrical Compliance were recommended by a friend who had an EV charger installed. We contacted Ian and within days he was able to come over and survey. A few weeks later we had our EV charger installed and working. We found they are well turned out, listened to our needs, as far as I can tell the installation has ben done to a high standard and is certainly neat and tidy - talking of which, they tidied up after themselves too. They also sorted out the additional paper work etc. we needed to qualify for the OLEV grant. Very pleased and should we need more electrical work doing, we'd contact them again. Recommended 👍

Frequently asked questions

How do I know you’re properly qualified and certified to install heat pumps?

We are MCS‑certified and registered with an approved consumer protection/competent person scheme, which is essential for quality assurance and to access grants like the Boiler Upgrade Scheme (BUS).

Can you tell me if a heat pump is actually suitable for my home?

We carry out a detailed home assessment, including property type, insulation levels, existing heating system and available outdoor space, to confirm whether a heat pump is a good fit.

What type and size of heat pump will you recommend for my property, and why?

We design the system using a heat‑loss calculation for your home, then match the correct kW size and model (for example, air‑source vs ground‑source) so it runs efficiently and reliably.

What will the full installation cost be, and what’s included in your quote?

Our fixed quote clearly lists the heat pump, cylinder, controls, labour, scaffolding (if needed), electrical work and any radiator or pipework upgrades, so you know exactly what you’re paying for.

Can you help me access government grants like the Boiler Upgrade Scheme?

Yes, as an MCS installer we can confirm your eligibility, apply for the BUS grant (worth up to £7,500) on your behalf and deduct it directly from your quote.

How much disruption should I expect during installation, and how long does it take?

A typical air‑source heat pump installation takes around 2–5 days, and we’ll agree locations for the indoor and outdoor units, manage any planning considerations and keep you informed each day.

Will I need to replace my radiators or upgrade anything else in my home?

After the heat‑loss survey, we’ll advise if any radiators, pipework, electrics or hot‑water cylinder need upgrading so the system can run efficiently at lower flow temperatures.

How noisy is the outdoor unit and where will it be installed?

Modern heat pumps are designed to be quiet and must meet UK noise regulations; we’ll position the unit to minimise any impact on you and your neighbours and comply with local planning rules.

What warranties, servicing and aftercare do you provide?

You’ll get manufacturer warranties on the heat pump plus our workmanship guarantee, and we offer ongoing servicing and support to keep your system performing at its best.

What running costs and savings can I realistically expect compared to my current boiler?

We’ll estimate your likely annual running costs and potential savings based on your current fuel type, insulation level and tariffs, using real‑world performance data rather than lab figures.
