We contracted G Parry to carry our a major refurbishment of our 1960’s house; a job of five months with us living elsewhere. We wanted a company that would oversee the entire job from start to finish, so we wouldn’t have to juggle booking in different tradespeople ourselves. They did everything from gutting the place, knocking down two walls, moving doorways, installing French doors and a roof light, rewiring, levelling the floor, new central heating system, plastering, new kitchen and bathrooms, tiling and decorating. Work was carried out to a high standard, and Emily our project manager kept us up to date and helped us with decision-making. Snags at the end of the job have been dealt with quickly and without quibble. Would recommend this company to others.

Apparently the company are currently no longer taking on any new work according to the response I received to an online enquiry this morning. As suggested on their website, I requested a quote for both a utility room and bathroom renovation. I didn't request a timescale for the work to be done and was happy to wait, but I simply received a 2 line reply saying they're not taking on any more work. No mention of the possibility of helping in the future, but a reply that came across as a brush off so it might be helpful if the website was updated to reflect this fact as that will save people wasting time filling out an enquiry form.

We engaged G Parry to knock an internal doorway through the dividing wall between our hallway and integral garage, fit a composite fire door, and plaster our bare-brick hallway (with insulating plaster) and two artex ceilings (regular plaster/board and skim). After providing an initial quote, Emily was happy to add, change and remove various things so that we could get the exact outcome we wanted whilst staying roughly in budget (e.g. we ultimately decided to do our own decorating to keep costs down). They have done a very high quality job of all the work and we are very pleased with the result. A lot of the stress of the job was removed by G Parry providing their own in-house electricians, builders, joiners, plasterers and cleaners, who all arrived on time and at the right stages of the job, rather than us having to deal with each tradesperson independently. All of their staff were friendly, polite and professional. Any minor issues were sorted quickly and without fuss. The only downside was that it took a long time from initially contacting G Parry until the work began, because they are very busy at the moment and it took a while to source the fire door. However once the work began, everything ran very efficiently and they were finished within a couple of weeks. Would recommend and would certainly use G Parry again for any similarly large/complicated home improvement projects.

We are MCS‑certified and registered with an approved consumer protection/competent person scheme, which is essential for quality assurance and to access grants like the Boiler Upgrade Scheme (BUS).
We carry out a detailed home assessment, including property type, insulation levels, existing heating system and available outdoor space, to confirm whether a heat pump is a good fit.
We design the system using a heat‑loss calculation for your home, then match the correct kW size and model (for example, air‑source vs ground‑source) so it runs efficiently and reliably.
Our fixed quote clearly lists the heat pump, cylinder, controls, labour, scaffolding (if needed), electrical work and any radiator or pipework upgrades, so you know exactly what you’re paying for.
Yes, as an MCS installer we can confirm your eligibility, apply for the BUS grant (worth up to £7,500) on your behalf and deduct it directly from your quote.
A typical air‑source heat pump installation takes around 2–5 days, and we’ll agree locations for the indoor and outdoor units, manage any planning considerations and keep you informed each day.
After the heat‑loss survey, we’ll advise if any radiators, pipework, electrics or hot‑water cylinder need upgrading so the system can run efficiently at lower flow temperatures.
Modern heat pumps are designed to be quiet and must meet UK noise regulations; we’ll position the unit to minimise any impact on you and your neighbours and comply with local planning rules.
You’ll get manufacturer warranties on the heat pump plus our workmanship guarantee, and we offer ongoing servicing and support to keep your system performing at its best.
We’ll estimate your likely annual running costs and potential savings based on your current fuel type, insulation level and tariffs, using real‑world performance data rather than lab figures.
