I found FloEnergy by searching through the MSC website for accredited solar PV installers. I contacted 10 companies and got quotes from 5. Of those 5, FloEnergy were by far the best at responding and advising me on my options in terms of number of solar panels, type of inverter and batteries. Although they were not the cheapest of my 5 quotes, FloEnergy had the best turnaround time from order, to surveyor to installation. The installation went smoothly and Jason, the electrical engineer, was a really nice guy, patiently talking me through my ignorant questions. Following the install FloEnergy continued to be in contact with me over the weekend to check my system was functioning properly - above and beyond service. All in all, fantastic service from a great, family-run business. Thank you.

Had my panels installed a year ago and they work fine, install team managed to break a roof tile and instead of replacing it tried to use some flashing to stick it together and moved it to another location on the roof in an attempt to hide it under the panels, when they finally came back to replace it they brought the wrong tile so I ended up sorting it myself. The electrician had to fit a consumer unit as there were no spare spaces on my one. The electrician found a used and damaged plastic one in the back of his van so fitted this which is not acceptable and not up to current code. A year on and they still haven’t been back out to swap it or complete my install paperwork. They are ignoring my calls, emails and WhatsApp messages which is poor considering I still have 1k to pay when they complete this Yes I’ve tried the office number and this goes to voicemail with a message left. The WhatsApp is the business owner Alessio and it’s the mobile number on your Facebook page ** now 2 years on and still not sorted, now they are just ignoring emails. Look at the photo of the shoddy consumer unit they fitted for the panels, this is the condition it was found in in the back of the van and clearly old and used. Not safe at all, a real fire risk. This is what they find acceptable when you are spending thousands.**

Worst after care service. Had mine fitted in 2021 and when things started to go wrong they claimed their workmanship lasted a year and if I needed a visit, I needed to pay £222.00 for a visit. Those who installed between 2023 -2924 beware and future people needing them to install ask the right questions and seek citizens advice bureau

Rip Off Prices & Poor Follow-up Customer Service / Response They cold called me to offer to do a system check. Salesman arrives, not an engineer & emphasises that my inverter would not be lasting much longer and it should be replaced. He offered a price followed by the best absolute price. I foolishly accepted the offer before researching correct costings. He then sold me 3 batteries at the best price possible! Installers arrived promptly to install the system, but their placement of equipment was untidy and also left the property with both the high voltage isolator switches not screwed up. Documentation for the inverter was also not handed over. The next morning, the system tripped the breakers and so they had to come back to fix the problem. They also improved the placement of equipment & sent over a link for the missing inverter manual which was not for the inverter that they installed! To date, I have not received the correct documentation. Customer support was very basic and no apologies were ever given. I decided to research the cost of the equipment which they had installed and received like for like quotes which were substantially lower than what I had paid for both the inverter & batteries. I challenged them on their prices & they said the companies did not offer all the guarantees and protection that they were offering, plus an annual service. Even so, there should not be a difference of about £3,000! I recommend anyone who uses this company to first get information of the equipment that they are quoting for & then research like for like quotes to avoid being ripped off like I was. I feel stupid and very annoyed with myself for trusting this company and allowing them to rip me off .

Service was fantastic. I was contacted by the company for a maintenance review of the system. I was then asked by the representative that attended my home after the review if I would like to see quotes of the recommendations that they suggested. Once I saw the prices I was very pleased because I’d received numerous quotations from other companies also. I went ahead with what I was quoted and 3 days later my system was up and running again at its full potential. I’d previously bought a battery from a company I won’t name because what I’d call them might be frowned upon….. Flo energy when the installer came fitted and set up my battery properly which the other company failed to do previously. Very please with the service and will be recommending to any friends that ask. 10/10 from start to finish.

Frequently asked questions

How do I know you’re properly qualified and certified to install heat pumps?

We are MCS‑certified and registered with an approved consumer protection/competent person scheme, which is essential for quality assurance and to access grants like the Boiler Upgrade Scheme (BUS).

Can you tell me if a heat pump is actually suitable for my home?

We carry out a detailed home assessment, including property type, insulation levels, existing heating system and available outdoor space, to confirm whether a heat pump is a good fit.

What type and size of heat pump will you recommend for my property, and why?

We design the system using a heat‑loss calculation for your home, then match the correct kW size and model (for example, air‑source vs ground‑source) so it runs efficiently and reliably.

What will the full installation cost be, and what’s included in your quote?

Our fixed quote clearly lists the heat pump, cylinder, controls, labour, scaffolding (if needed), electrical work and any radiator or pipework upgrades, so you know exactly what you’re paying for.

Can you help me access government grants like the Boiler Upgrade Scheme?

Yes, as an MCS installer we can confirm your eligibility, apply for the BUS grant (worth up to £7,500) on your behalf and deduct it directly from your quote.

How much disruption should I expect during installation, and how long does it take?

A typical air‑source heat pump installation takes around 2–5 days, and we’ll agree locations for the indoor and outdoor units, manage any planning considerations and keep you informed each day.

Will I need to replace my radiators or upgrade anything else in my home?

After the heat‑loss survey, we’ll advise if any radiators, pipework, electrics or hot‑water cylinder need upgrading so the system can run efficiently at lower flow temperatures.

How noisy is the outdoor unit and where will it be installed?

Modern heat pumps are designed to be quiet and must meet UK noise regulations; we’ll position the unit to minimise any impact on you and your neighbours and comply with local planning rules.

What warranties, servicing and aftercare do you provide?

You’ll get manufacturer warranties on the heat pump plus our workmanship guarantee, and we offer ongoing servicing and support to keep your system performing at its best.

What running costs and savings can I realistically expect compared to my current boiler?

We’ll estimate your likely annual running costs and potential savings based on your current fuel type, insulation level and tariffs, using real‑world performance data rather than lab figures.
