Unfortunately our recent experience did not live up to work previously conducted by P Mcneilly from Plumbcraft. This time during annual service the engineer advised that a part was worn in the boiler and should be replaced. This was agreed and completed. He then said whilst servicing the tank a drip had started which he could not stop and required a part. We were advised the cost would be around £130 so agreed and did not seek alternative quotes. We had to pay £99 for the part before it was ordered and the engineer returned. The work took 20 minutes (evidenced by door camera). The charge for 20 minutes was £96 . I questioned the cost and advised £80 plus vat for first 30 minutes. Be aware and ensure you know the cost before starting. We will be using an alternative moving forward
We've used Plumbcraft since 2009. Amongst many other smaller jobs they've repaced a bathroom, claokroom and gas boiler during this time. We've always been very happy with the quality of the work and advice given. Just been to service our boiler - August 2026 - arrived on time and serviced our boiler - all good.
Fantastic service from design to completion. Nothing was too much trouble for any of the team. Would thoroughly recommend PlumbCraft
