What can you say about Broadoak? Avoid it at all costs. They said it would be done in ten days; eight weeks later, it was still not finished. First week, no hot water for nearly a week. They removed some of the doors for ease, they said, and put two of the doors back in. Now we know why one door has been damaged with a chunk out of the side, and the bottom of the door was messed up, where they have caught them with plaster boards. One of the doors upstairs has been forced so hard that they have split where the hinges are. Made a mistake in the same room when they started to prepare the room to batain it unfortunately it wasn't an outside wall cut the carpet back took the coving and the scairting board off replaced them both but left a hole in the wall plus damaged stair carpet plus other mishaps this paetit in the government's interestncentives of this lot cones to your house shut the door on them or expect chaos your choce. also my MP is now involved

Not a customer, yet Broad Oak managed to cause damage to my roof, my car and put a scaffold up with workmen walking past my little girls’ bedroom. The work was for a neighbour yet they trespassed, moved my property outside my house, dumped items in my garden, restricted access to my property. They created a hole in the roof after putting the neighbours Solar panels on the wrong roof and then ripping them off again. The houses are terraced but this is no excuse. Car is dented and scratched because they blocked the road and then took it upon themselves to direct traffic through a tiny gap. We have never had any work done by them and they are a disaster.

We had a heat pump system and solar fitted by this company last July and we have had problems. We complained to our housing association as it lost pressure due to a pipe joint not being fitted correctly. It took a while due to holidays the this morning it failed again and water was pouring in to our bathroom. I am not lodging a complaint via our housing association and going to request all pipe work be replaced. Having no heat or hot water is no good for my wife and I especially when outside temperatures are -3. We will see how long it takes!

Built a ground floor extension for my disabled daughter Poorly project managed from start to finish Some staff good but a general culture of bad practise in there chosen profession's Multiple issues throughout every stage with multiple damage to existing property just thru neglect and unprofessionalism particularly regarding flat roof which they had to rectify but really didn’t know what they were doing, eventually roof was replaced by a competent company. It was suggested by management at Broadoak I had sabotaged the roof in an email chain I suspect I wasn’t supposed to be part of and the guy in question told council authorities he would sincerely apologise for this personally but that must have being lost in the post. Fire standards not an issue for project manager with no thermal bridging to roof rendering it 13degrees colder in the extension(in summer)and happy for platerers to board over cavities around window frames having no fire barrier, was left to me when project manager wouldn’t question roofers work leading to irate roofers and an awkward atmosphere on site! Heating and cooling of plumbing makes excess noise in the extension meaning we can’t have the heating on in the night because it disturbs sleep and is a general nuisance, 2 suggestions of fix from Broadoak, neither of them actually addressing the issue and is ongoing A lot of excuses like “project managers told us do it” “Building control has signed it off” and my personal favourite “didn’t use essential materials because they weren’t on site” I have been asked to sign a form so they can proceed to get paid from council but as a life long tax payer from a family of hard working tax payers feel like this is the kind of company that makes Britain not great anymore and hope by reading this review you will avoid lining the pockets of this company, I would be happy to sign forms at this point despite noise of plumbing if the whole experience wasn’t so dire

Edited to add. The date is now 16/12/25 and the ventilation still hasn't been done. Can't even get through on the phone line as despite being number one in the queue, nobody can answer it. Not happy with the service at all. The first day they showed up with a broken drill and just disappeared after an hour. Two days later another guy came to fit the ventilation, but obviously nothing could be done because the insulation wasn't fitted. Then didn't hear from them for two weeks. Then someone randomly appeared at my door for an appointment that was never booked. Fitted the insulation. Weeks later, I'm still awaiting the ventilation. My windows now have condensation on the inside. And then I find out they've told the council the work is complete. Absolutely useless, do not recommend.

Frequently asked questions

How do I know you’re properly qualified and certified to install heat pumps?

We are MCS‑certified and registered with an approved consumer protection/competent person scheme, which is essential for quality assurance and to access grants like the Boiler Upgrade Scheme (BUS).

Can you tell me if a heat pump is actually suitable for my home?

We carry out a detailed home assessment, including property type, insulation levels, existing heating system and available outdoor space, to confirm whether a heat pump is a good fit.

What type and size of heat pump will you recommend for my property, and why?

We design the system using a heat‑loss calculation for your home, then match the correct kW size and model (for example, air‑source vs ground‑source) so it runs efficiently and reliably.

What will the full installation cost be, and what’s included in your quote?

Our fixed quote clearly lists the heat pump, cylinder, controls, labour, scaffolding (if needed), electrical work and any radiator or pipework upgrades, so you know exactly what you’re paying for.

Can you help me access government grants like the Boiler Upgrade Scheme?

Yes, as an MCS installer we can confirm your eligibility, apply for the BUS grant (worth up to £7,500) on your behalf and deduct it directly from your quote.

How much disruption should I expect during installation, and how long does it take?

A typical air‑source heat pump installation takes around 2–5 days, and we’ll agree locations for the indoor and outdoor units, manage any planning considerations and keep you informed each day.

Will I need to replace my radiators or upgrade anything else in my home?

After the heat‑loss survey, we’ll advise if any radiators, pipework, electrics or hot‑water cylinder need upgrading so the system can run efficiently at lower flow temperatures.

How noisy is the outdoor unit and where will it be installed?

Modern heat pumps are designed to be quiet and must meet UK noise regulations; we’ll position the unit to minimise any impact on you and your neighbours and comply with local planning rules.

What warranties, servicing and aftercare do you provide?

You’ll get manufacturer warranties on the heat pump plus our workmanship guarantee, and we offer ongoing servicing and support to keep your system performing at its best.

What running costs and savings can I realistically expect compared to my current boiler?

We’ll estimate your likely annual running costs and potential savings based on your current fuel type, insulation level and tariffs, using real‑world performance data rather than lab figures.
