Installed a solar PV system for us recently and the team did a fantastic job installing 14 panels and a Sigenergy system. Installation was neat and tidy and completed within the two days. Would recommend for anyone else considering a solar PV project.

We had a Vaillant ASHP installed by Ipsum in summer 2025. The initial experience was excellent — communication before signing was friendly and professional, and the heat loss survey was carried out promptly. The installation team were polite, tidy, and worked hard on what was a full new heating system for a property with no existing central heating. However, the overall experience hasn’t been without issues, and the aftercare has been disappointing. Several small but important details during commissioning were missed, and despite multiple emails and calls over many weeks, I’ve struggled to get Ipsum to engage with me regarding follow‑up work I’m willing to pay for. As a returning customer, this has been frustrating. Examples of issues encountered: Commissioning felt rushed. Documentation was left on the floor, and electronic paperwork wasn’t mentioned during handover. A clearer handover and proper tidy‑up would have helped. Underfloor heating flow was left restricted on two loops after commissioning, leaving parts of the downstairs cold until I diagnosed and corrected it myself. Overlay UFH panels required levelling compound, which wasn’t made clear during quoting. The subcontractor quote provided was extremely high, so I sourced my own contractor at less than half the cost. Radiator pipework upstairs was fitted too tightly, causing loud clicking noises from expansion. I had to enlarge the floorboard holes which improved this. The external wall bracket has since tilted, but my concerns were dismissed despite clear evidence. We also experience two types of vibration issues: 1. Internal pipework vibration: During very cold weather, vibration from the compressor travels through the primary pipework and resonates inside the property. Flexi sections were installed, but the primaries pass straight through the wall behind the unit, limiting their ability to absorb vibration. We discussed rerouting the primaries to reduce this and allow insulation of the flat roof below, and I requested a quote for this work in March. After several chase emails and calls, I eventually received a quote — but due to the arrival of our baby, I wasn’t able to confirm it at the time. I contacted Ipsum again in August to proceed, and although the director acknowledged this and said he would recheck the quote and come back to me, no updated pricing or dates have been provided despite repeated follow‑ups. 2. Wall‑mount vibration: I didn’t dismiss Ipsum’s point that wall‑mounted units can be noisier, but after speaking with an independent vibration specialist, I was advised that the rubber feet on the bracket provide limited isolation and should be replaced with spring‑based mounts. I sourced these mounts myself and asked Ipsum to include swapping them as part of the same follow‑up work. They agreed to do so when the quote was issued in March, but as above, no updated quote or dates have been provided this autumn despite multiple attempts to chase. I’m still hopeful Ipsum will resolve the outstanding issues, and I’m more than willing to update this review if things improve. The system itself performs well enough, and the installation team were pleasant — but aftercare and responsiveness need to match the quality of the initial sales process.

Ipsum provided us with a large solar panel installation in June this year. The whole experience was great, from having an engineer who clearly knew what they were talking about visit us to survey, provide a quote and deal with our querires through to the admin team keeping track of the order and finally the first class and friendly installation team. I would willingly recommend Ipsum! (in fact they have undertaken installations with several of our close neighbours and they all are of the same opinion!)

Finally took the plunge for solar panels after thinking about it for some time. Chose Ipsum after hearing positive feedback from a neighbour. Great service and communocation throughout from initial survey through to install. Best decision I have ever made as I haven't spent any money on electric or gas since and now I am making money!

I had a heat pump & extra solar installed by ipsum in July 2026 i pleased with how smooth the ordering process was. Lee & Tim were both happy using a Heat loss survey i already had for the initial quote instead of insisting on me paying for one upfront like other suppliers. Considering the heat in late June the install team did an outstanding job over several long days to get everything installed. The team came back to fix some minor snags immediately and at short notice arranged to come and fix a leak the next morning. The Grant heat pump is extremely quiet & I'm impressed by how easy it was to get full local control of it, in the admittedly warm conditions so far its seeing almost 400% efficiency on hot water. i expect the central heating efficiency to be even better than that.
