I have owned a flat in a London mansion block for 14 years! With 24/7 hot water the Summers were always utterly unbearable. +36°C and high humidity at some points. I spent many years trying all the methods of cooling myself. Windows open, Dyson fan, Normal fan, fan with wet sheet in front of it, portable AC unit….. You name it, I tried it. For obvious reasons, my block would not allow AC units on the exterior. After years of searching I came across a company in the market place that offered a solution using a water cooling based system. I called them and they sent someone round. They had “invented” their own system. Marvelous as it sounded, I wasn’t convinced and thought they might not be around in a few years so I carried on my research. Many phone calls later and after much advice from all kinds of AC manufacturers I stumbled across Stuart Hastings who’s father had been in the commercial AC and ventilation market for some 20+ years. Stuart had set up on his own under the name PreEco Services Ltd. This chance find was exactly what I had been looking for. Stuart is such a well-educated, honest, knowledgeable and an all-round good guy. He came to my house to run through and find a practical solution to my problem. Eureka!! My own builders managed to run a water pipe & waste pipe through my suspended ceiling to the main condenser unit that uses water to cool air to provide a truly life changing AC solution to my bedroom. The product Stuart sold and installed for me was Airwell – a large French company who’s system is remarkable. Once my pipes were run, in just one day Stuart and his engineers came in and installed the whole system. I came back on that early summer and I could cool my bedroom to 16°C! Then came peak summer. One of the hottest on record and I was in heaven! Whilst the London population melted I was fast asleep and chilling in a cool 21°C, low humidity bedroom. Truly this revolutionised my London living. I am beyond happy with Stuart and his team. The one bit I was still concerned about was my water and electricity bills. Rest assured, I can say that I have hardly noticed the difference. The solution I have is not a whole flat solution, but it is a work around. With restricted space any solution is a good. Yes the rest of my flat still gets hot, but with one condenser and a wall mounted standard AC unit you can chill a room of your choosing. I highly recommend ProEco Services and Stuart. Their professionalism is exceptional and the products they install are economical, well made and COOLING!
