After our yearly service the gas engineer reported a leak to Worcester Bosch and we received a txt a couple of days before to inform us that a engineer would be coming on the Wednesday morning 9th of December. The engineer rang on morning to inform us he would be half an hour which is really good . When he came he was very professional and quickly resolved any faults and issues we had with our boiler so I can not say a bad word we also received a detailed note via email to highlight all work undertaken again very impressed and happy with service given. Thank you and yes I would definitely recommend this service and company.

It’s disappointing that what appears to be poor management and a lack of available engineers (seemingly to save costs) has come at the expense of customers. This experience has completely changed my opinion of what I believed was a reputable company, and due to these issues, I not sure I will be purchasing a Bosch product again. Our boiler is only three years old and still under warranty. It lost all pressure and began leaking internally from the automatic air vent valve, which also caused damage to our flooring. As it is a combi boiler, this left us with no heating or hot water. I contacted Bosch immediately and explained that we have young children, including a two-year-old, and that temperatures were as low as -4°C. Despite this, I was told it would take four days for an engineer to attend (bearing in mind it had already been 1 freezing night already at this point)with no flexibility or alternative offered. Bosch’s inability to provide an engineer during very cold conditions, particularly for a household with young children, reflects poor planning and ineffective team management, resulting in significant and unacceptable inconvenience. I asked whether I could use a third-party heating engineer (who originally installed the boiler) and be reimbursed due to the lack of availability, but this was refused. We replaced our previous old working boiler specifically to avoid situations like this. With this level of service the warranty doesn’t seem worth having. Overall, this level of service is unacceptable, and Bosch needs to significantly improve how it manages warranty repairs and customer care. The only good thing was the engineer, who was polite and repaired the boiler without issue.

We had an issue with our boiler. Customer service on the phone were very helpful and arranged for a specialist to come out within a couple of days as it was marked as ‘high priority’. Keith was very friendly and funny actually, he fixed the issue and now we have a functional boiler. I’ll be calling Bosch for a service next year. Recommended.

I had a problem with my boiler which is still under guarantee, a phone call to Worcester Bosch customer service, spoke to a real person (Mitch) and explained the problem, he arranged for an engineer (Paul) to call the following day, repair took about one hour in total, problem sorted. Other companies take note, we like to speak to real people who know what they're talking about and not clowns who just blag their way out and pass the buck. Well done Worcester Bosch and thanks again.

We've had our boiler for 3 years and it's been very efficient with no issues. I think a 7 year warranty is very reasonable and an indication of good quality assurance. We had an independent engineer from Jarretts do our last service and he clumsily broke the hinges off the inner panel, and then tried to charge us parts and labour for replacing it! After speaking to one of WBGs technical advisors, Tracey, she very kindly booked an engineer to come out and fix what Jarretts had broken as soon as Tuesday next week, at no charge to us. She was really lovely and friendly, very helpful. WBG seem to be a good, honest, reliable company who i would definitely recommend.

Frequently asked questions

How do I know you’re properly qualified and certified to install heat pumps?

We are MCS‑certified and registered with an approved consumer protection/competent person scheme, which is essential for quality assurance and to access grants like the Boiler Upgrade Scheme (BUS).

Can you tell me if a heat pump is actually suitable for my home?

We carry out a detailed home assessment, including property type, insulation levels, existing heating system and available outdoor space, to confirm whether a heat pump is a good fit.

What type and size of heat pump will you recommend for my property, and why?

We design the system using a heat‑loss calculation for your home, then match the correct kW size and model (for example, air‑source vs ground‑source) so it runs efficiently and reliably.

What will the full installation cost be, and what’s included in your quote?

Our fixed quote clearly lists the heat pump, cylinder, controls, labour, scaffolding (if needed), electrical work and any radiator or pipework upgrades, so you know exactly what you’re paying for.

Can you help me access government grants like the Boiler Upgrade Scheme?

Yes, as an MCS installer we can confirm your eligibility, apply for the BUS grant (worth up to £7,500) on your behalf and deduct it directly from your quote.

How much disruption should I expect during installation, and how long does it take?

A typical air‑source heat pump installation takes around 2–5 days, and we’ll agree locations for the indoor and outdoor units, manage any planning considerations and keep you informed each day.

Will I need to replace my radiators or upgrade anything else in my home?

After the heat‑loss survey, we’ll advise if any radiators, pipework, electrics or hot‑water cylinder need upgrading so the system can run efficiently at lower flow temperatures.

How noisy is the outdoor unit and where will it be installed?

Modern heat pumps are designed to be quiet and must meet UK noise regulations; we’ll position the unit to minimise any impact on you and your neighbours and comply with local planning rules.

What warranties, servicing and aftercare do you provide?

You’ll get manufacturer warranties on the heat pump plus our workmanship guarantee, and we offer ongoing servicing and support to keep your system performing at its best.

What running costs and savings can I realistically expect compared to my current boiler?

We’ll estimate your likely annual running costs and potential savings based on your current fuel type, insulation level and tariffs, using real‑world performance data rather than lab figures.
