1 word outstanding We looked at numerous different companies, and wanted someone local not a national giant What made us use Fec was the fact that Oliver replied personally to every review so we knew the business was important to him personally. Fantastic from the day 1 survey a drone was used to look at the roof for many reasons but also to show us how many panels we could have. So while waiting for the install day we were kept in the loop at all times , the scaffolding guys came on the hottest day of the year they to were fantastic lads . The the FEC lads arrived and just cracked on all done in a day, unbelievable fast & tidy everyone was polite. Oliver came back the next week to show us the app and everything we need , needless to say in this sunshine it's all been worth it . Oliver said to call him when we get the EV car Top guy great team highly recommend. You won't look back

We had FEC Renewables fit solar panels and a battery last year. We were impressed by both their technical knowledge and affordability. They were friendly to deal with and their workmen were efficient and courteous. They were quick to respond to a simple snagging issue too. In fact, we were so impressed that we have recommended them to friends and are getting a new quote to expand our solar capacity. Almost a year after installation, our monthly energy bill has halved and we are selling electricity back to the grid.

The initial install was great and scored 5 stars originally however the subsequent expansion installation not so as this review is for and have had to chase for rectification and no standard paperwork received to date despite chasing and several promises and 3.5months passing from installation. *update* paperwork has been received and an apology due to some delays with the DNO & some staff absences; having had a discussion with them I’ve accepted the issues but explained some communication would have been better and whilst we are still awaiting the revision from the DNO following the upgrade all the other paperwork has been received and communication ongoing over the delay and a goodwill gesture has been offered and accepted. As I said originally and above they have been great to deal with initially and hopefully the small blip in the road will smooth out for them now and genuinely happy with the installations themselves

I moved into a new property and needed a boiler replacement urgently. Wanting to make an environmentally friendly choice, I asked about a heat pump installation, possibly with solar later on. The survey engineer who visited was very polite and reassuring. He told me that the Boiler Upgrade Scheme (BUS) grant approval would take 2–3 days and that installation would follow the next week. Based on that assurance, I decided to proceed. Unfortunately, the installation did not happen as expected. For about three weeks, I was told repeatedly that the grant approval was “imminent.” During this time, I had no hot water and was relying on updates that never materialised. I became increasingly frustrated because I had made my moving plans based on their initial timeline. When I expressed my concern, the conversation with the engineer became uncomfortable and upsetting. After that, I spoke with the company owner, who was courteous but again gave assurances that didn’t lead to any progress. At this point, I’ve decided to cancel the BUS application and arrange a standard boiler installation instead. I am delighted to share that I went with Octopus in the end. They did a thorough survey and BUS application got approved in 1 day. It has been 4 months and very happy with the heat pump, installation and aftercare and I paid less than what was quoted. So all in all happy that this happened and had a stress free heat pump installation. I’ve also noticed that my reviews on trustpilot were reported and removed, which has made it difficult to share my genuine experience. Please be careful of the positive reviews on Tustpilot as this business is misuing the report functionality and bullying all the negative reviews to be removed. Internet is an open place and all genuine reviews should be made available to public who relies on these reviews to make decisions. I hope this one remains, as I believe all customer experiences—positive or negative—should be visible to help others make informed choices.
