I waited for 6 years to have the rayburn put on. It's been done now by this fantastic team from HEATSHINE. I am so happy! Tom Leavitt explained how to light it too and gave me a demo. These are good and knowledgeable men who are polite and clear up after themselves. Highly recommended!

We phoned Heatshine at 0930 on the 5th Jan as we’d just aborted an attempt to get to Glangwilli in Carmarthen due to treacherous conditions on the road and returned home to find our heating had died whilst we’d been out. The guy that answered the phone was friendly and helpful but couldn’t promise when they’d be round as 1st day back after Xmas with atrocious weather they were understandably very busy. I phoned again at 12 just to see if they could give me an ETA for arrival as it was getting very cold at home and if they couldn’t come that day then we’d need to go out and find somewhere warm for a few hours. They sent somebody around within the hour, a very young chap, very polite, who with the aid of technical phone assistance, a visit to a local plumbing supplier to purchase a mother board and replace it, the heating was back up and running within a couple of hours. Outstanding assistance when desperately required as my husband is recovering from cancer treatment and feels the cold at the best of times. Thank you so very much.

To THEM: Just another customer. To US: Smelt gas so asked for safety check. Disabled so...change of medical regime, up early, dust sheets down, change of jobs in kitchen, cleared cooker of utensils. Waiting around, unable to complete anything, loss of nearly three hours just waiting and then... phoned to find out state of play, they phone back to say engineer cannot make it and will have to change date! Cancelled; STILL smell gas. DO THEY CARE? In their little world they and their engineer completely lack the ability to update next customer on current situation, ergo customer counts for very little and will just have to fit in with whatever they say while said customer sits around twiddling thumbs. There are courses one may attend which relate to customer care; I recommend this company sends as many staff as possible on one. NOTE Make up your own mind! Just read the response with incredulity. this was NOT an emergency on their part they made that up , it was a planned appointment and I was second on the rota. I phoned because we were left waiting for three hours. The receptionist said SHE would phone the engineer (in this area of no-reception) and HE told her (in this area of no -reception) that he'd found more leaks and couldn't make it to our establishment! THIS is when I pointed out that all he had to do was phone us out of courtesy- from this area of no reception- and tell us he couldn't make it. Who do you believe, children? Post review I meant that THEIRS was not an emergency not mine, theirs was a standard call out which they lied about not being able to contact. Then they contacted them to say that they had found extra leaks and couldn't come to ME from because he was busy but failed to let me know. The engineer could have phoned me to say he'd be late, the receptionist could have told the truth and just said that she was in contact. Why she had to lie, I don't know. This is the same man I had to throw out of my house many years ago for talking to his girlfriend on the phone all the time when he should have been working and I caught him giggling in a corner. I thought he'd changed. UPDATE: Phoned number above, didn't want anything to do with it because it wasn't mains gas so following smell of gas phoned another engineer at 10:00hrs, leak located and new pipe installed by 15:30 hrs. Now THAT's what I call service!

Gary sorted out a complex problem I had been having with my ASHP for a few years, picking up a blocked drain pipe feed, causing issues with the defrost cycle in frosty weather. A comprehensive check of all components, a respectful attitude, and one happy customer. Thank you.

I am a new costumer and am impressed. I had two leaks on my boiler in the last month, due to failing parts, and each time Judy at the office did her best to fit me in as quickly as possible, even though I live a fair bit out of the way. Both times managed to fit me in earlier than first planned. Both jobs were done quickly and all was left tidy. Costs, average. Thank you

Frequently asked questions

How do I know you’re properly qualified and certified to install heat pumps?

We are MCS‑certified and registered with an approved consumer protection/competent person scheme, which is essential for quality assurance and to access grants like the Boiler Upgrade Scheme (BUS).

Can you tell me if a heat pump is actually suitable for my home?

We carry out a detailed home assessment, including property type, insulation levels, existing heating system and available outdoor space, to confirm whether a heat pump is a good fit.

What type and size of heat pump will you recommend for my property, and why?

We design the system using a heat‑loss calculation for your home, then match the correct kW size and model (for example, air‑source vs ground‑source) so it runs efficiently and reliably.

What will the full installation cost be, and what’s included in your quote?

Our fixed quote clearly lists the heat pump, cylinder, controls, labour, scaffolding (if needed), electrical work and any radiator or pipework upgrades, so you know exactly what you’re paying for.

Can you help me access government grants like the Boiler Upgrade Scheme?

Yes, as an MCS installer we can confirm your eligibility, apply for the BUS grant (worth up to £7,500) on your behalf and deduct it directly from your quote.

How much disruption should I expect during installation, and how long does it take?

A typical air‑source heat pump installation takes around 2–5 days, and we’ll agree locations for the indoor and outdoor units, manage any planning considerations and keep you informed each day.

Will I need to replace my radiators or upgrade anything else in my home?

After the heat‑loss survey, we’ll advise if any radiators, pipework, electrics or hot‑water cylinder need upgrading so the system can run efficiently at lower flow temperatures.

How noisy is the outdoor unit and where will it be installed?

Modern heat pumps are designed to be quiet and must meet UK noise regulations; we’ll position the unit to minimise any impact on you and your neighbours and comply with local planning rules.

What warranties, servicing and aftercare do you provide?

You’ll get manufacturer warranties on the heat pump plus our workmanship guarantee, and we offer ongoing servicing and support to keep your system performing at its best.

What running costs and savings can I realistically expect compared to my current boiler?

We’ll estimate your likely annual running costs and potential savings based on your current fuel type, insulation level and tariffs, using real‑world performance data rather than lab figures.
