Once again this wonderful family business has delivered!! Not just the oil but the service I have come to expect and more to the point GET from them. Out of oil last night…. Oil delivered today!!! I was lucky as I turned off the electricity supply as soon as I knew I’d run out and then after my delivery I waited for a hour before turning it back on and then bleeding and restarting and…. Thank god it’s all on again. Don’t be like me and forget to check oil levels… done it three times now! So thank you thank you Rawlings once again. Brilliant company with really lovely friendly professional staff all the way through from the phone call to the delivery guy. All 💯!!! Don’t use anyone else, I mean…. Why would you? Carina ♨️

CUSTOMER SERVICE DOES STILL EXIST !!! OMG! Darren - thank you so much! Given how busy this time of year is, I can't state how much an emergency delivery when there are young children in the house is APPRECIATED. Your team are always so efficient and prices are good. Thank you for returning my customer loyalty. I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending RAWLINGS FUELS to everyone.

We had a particularly poor experience here. Badly let down. We bought and paid for a delivery Thursday 26th February for delivery Monday 2nd March. Iran/US war started Sunday 1st March. The delivery didn’t turn up. The driver said he couldn’t navigate our lane. We haven’t had a problem with deliveries for oil before. When we tried to rearrange - the oil price has risen from £0.5p a litre to £1.30 a litre

Reliable, friendly and professional. We're new to oil fuel and have always been used to getting ripped of by Calor for LPG over the years. Our new tank emptied earlier than expected, and Rawlings delivered the next day to our rural and remote property on the coldest week of the year. Sadly, the 2 star rating accounts for the unit price at nearly 80p per litre, which is an insufferable 30p more than competitors. Service shouldn't be at the expense of value.

After two aborted deliveries to my father's house (elderly occupants over 86 years, one with dementia and one with heart issues, staying warm is key), I contacted Rawlings and spoke with Zoe. The issues were centred around access down a narrow lane. We had advised the previous supplier to use a 4 wheeler. First time they turned up with a 6-wheeler and had to abort. Second time they turned up a few days later with a 4-wheeler, the driver said the lane was too narrow because of the mirrors on the tanker. After to and fro with customer service, despite pointing out that neighbours have 4-wheel deliveries from other suppliers, we agreed they had no appetite or solution to help. Meantime, because of delivery delays the oil tank was now worryingly low during a cold spell when my parents were burning fuel quickly. When speaking with Zoe at Rawlings about midday, she was straight into solution mode, checked other deliveries to neighbours and confirmed they could access with a 4-wheeler but to be safe they would use their smallest vehicle (a van). She would check availability and arrange delivery asap. Bearing in mind deliveries often need a few days' notice, Ross (aka Action Man according to their website) arrived that same evening 5.30pm and delivered 900 litres. All through the delivery as he was orienting himself around the property to the tank, he was excellent communicating with me over the phone and then engaging on site with my father. Both Zoe and Ross were fantastic, solution minded with a no problem attitude, just wanting to help as part of the service. Thank you both, you were amazing! We will be using Rawlings moving forward!

Frequently asked questions

How do I know you’re properly qualified and certified to install heat pumps?

We are MCS‑certified and registered with an approved consumer protection/competent person scheme, which is essential for quality assurance and to access grants like the Boiler Upgrade Scheme (BUS).

Can you tell me if a heat pump is actually suitable for my home?

We carry out a detailed home assessment, including property type, insulation levels, existing heating system and available outdoor space, to confirm whether a heat pump is a good fit.

What type and size of heat pump will you recommend for my property, and why?

We design the system using a heat‑loss calculation for your home, then match the correct kW size and model (for example, air‑source vs ground‑source) so it runs efficiently and reliably.

What will the full installation cost be, and what’s included in your quote?

Our fixed quote clearly lists the heat pump, cylinder, controls, labour, scaffolding (if needed), electrical work and any radiator or pipework upgrades, so you know exactly what you’re paying for.

Can you help me access government grants like the Boiler Upgrade Scheme?

Yes, as an MCS installer we can confirm your eligibility, apply for the BUS grant (worth up to £7,500) on your behalf and deduct it directly from your quote.

How much disruption should I expect during installation, and how long does it take?

A typical air‑source heat pump installation takes around 2–5 days, and we’ll agree locations for the indoor and outdoor units, manage any planning considerations and keep you informed each day.

Will I need to replace my radiators or upgrade anything else in my home?

After the heat‑loss survey, we’ll advise if any radiators, pipework, electrics or hot‑water cylinder need upgrading so the system can run efficiently at lower flow temperatures.

How noisy is the outdoor unit and where will it be installed?

Modern heat pumps are designed to be quiet and must meet UK noise regulations; we’ll position the unit to minimise any impact on you and your neighbours and comply with local planning rules.

What warranties, servicing and aftercare do you provide?

You’ll get manufacturer warranties on the heat pump plus our workmanship guarantee, and we offer ongoing servicing and support to keep your system performing at its best.

What running costs and savings can I realistically expect compared to my current boiler?

We’ll estimate your likely annual running costs and potential savings based on your current fuel type, insulation level and tariffs, using real‑world performance data rather than lab figures.
