Having phoned the company 3 times, every time the secretary said they would speak to Tim and get back to me, one week later I am still waiting! Having ran my own business for 30 years in the building trade, I know first impressions mean a lot. If you are new to the area like me, and need a plumber, take your money elsewhere. Great shame as they were recommended by my neighbours.

Fantastic service from start to finish! I had a new shower pump installed by Star plumbing who provided a fantastic service from my initial call to job completion. The gentleman who answered my call was very polite and knowledgeable and arranged for a plumbing engineer to visit and install my know shower pump. The engineer who came was very friendly and good at his job and cleared and mess away, great service. I would use Star Plumbing again no question! Thank you Star Plumbing.

Tim and Soren fitted a family bathroom and an en-suite shower room for us. They were professional, clean and tidy - both rooms look amazing and nothing was too much trouble. We would recommend star plumbing to anyone who is looking for a high standard of finish we can’t praise them enough and will be using again in the future

Needed a quick boiler service and they were available to come the next day, however we apparently needed a part that they would have to order. We were told it could take a couple of days and were given a day for the fitting but told it would be PM as an exact time couldn't be given. We waited in from 12-6pm but no one showed or phoned to say they wouldn't be coming. Tried to contact the next morning from 8am as the website says that office hours are from 8am-5pm, but the lady who answers the phone said she only works 9am-2.30pm. She apologised that Tim hadn't turned up but was not going to be able to come that day either but would come the following day. Tim arrived the next morning and fitted the part. We received our invoice and thought it was a little high so we asked for it to be broken down, we discovered included in the charge was £25 to pay a courier to deliver our part to them. We told them that we felt this was not general practice to be charged for that and combined with having waited in for 6 hours when they didn't show, thought that the £25 charge was unreasonable. We sourced the same part online and as it was over £50 was free next day delivery. I asked for Tim to phone me to discuss this but as yet he hasn't!

Star Plumbing and Heating were recommended to me and then went above and beyond all my expectations. They worked really hard to fix my boiler in difficult conditions and were knowledgeable, reliable and extremely helpful. Don't hesitate to give them a call.

We are MCS‑certified and registered with an approved consumer protection/competent person scheme, which is essential for quality assurance and to access grants like the Boiler Upgrade Scheme (BUS).
We carry out a detailed home assessment, including property type, insulation levels, existing heating system and available outdoor space, to confirm whether a heat pump is a good fit.
We design the system using a heat‑loss calculation for your home, then match the correct kW size and model (for example, air‑source vs ground‑source) so it runs efficiently and reliably.
Our fixed quote clearly lists the heat pump, cylinder, controls, labour, scaffolding (if needed), electrical work and any radiator or pipework upgrades, so you know exactly what you’re paying for.
Yes, as an MCS installer we can confirm your eligibility, apply for the BUS grant (worth up to £7,500) on your behalf and deduct it directly from your quote.
A typical air‑source heat pump installation takes around 2–5 days, and we’ll agree locations for the indoor and outdoor units, manage any planning considerations and keep you informed each day.
After the heat‑loss survey, we’ll advise if any radiators, pipework, electrics or hot‑water cylinder need upgrading so the system can run efficiently at lower flow temperatures.
Modern heat pumps are designed to be quiet and must meet UK noise regulations; we’ll position the unit to minimise any impact on you and your neighbours and comply with local planning rules.
You’ll get manufacturer warranties on the heat pump plus our workmanship guarantee, and we offer ongoing servicing and support to keep your system performing at its best.
We’ll estimate your likely annual running costs and potential savings based on your current fuel type, insulation level and tariffs, using real‑world performance data rather than lab figures.
