Haven't used them for gas services but they spent the past 15 minutes tailgating us when going at the speed limit and nearly crashed into us at one point.

Great service - My boiler broke overnight, leaving me without hot water or central heating. I called and was able to get something to come out within a few hours. The fix took 10min, and as I had a service booked for a week later, the engineer did that whilst he was onsite. This company has continued to offer great service over the years I have been using them.

My parents paid Safegas on a monthly basis for boiler repairs and annual servicing for many years. Unfortunately they both passed away in summer and I had to cancel the contract as their banks account were frozen. I called to see if they could service the boiler before the house was sold and thought consideration of payments made for the last 8 months would be taken into account. Was told that this was not the case as contract was cancelled and I would need to pay in full. Not the service I would expect from a local company and in extremely difficult circumstances. Will never recommend them to anyone.

We have been with Safegas since 2005, we have never had any issues with this company at all. The quality of work when they replaced our boiler ( and relocated it) was second to none. We have emergency cover with safe gas, and although the prices have gone up, like everywhere else, we can usually guarantee that, in an emergency, the response time is very good. Dealing with them over the telephone is always a pleasant experience. We feel with have got to know a small number of the engineers who come to service our boiler, as it's often the same ones, which tells me that they are happy to work for the company, it also means we can have a bit of a catch up with them too,as well as being able to feel confident in their ability to do a "proper job" without having to stand over them. Very happy with the service we receive, as is my mum, who on our recommendation, also had a new boiler ( 2, actually, one in her old house) put in when she moved to another property, so that should tell you something. Well done Safe gas!😊 Long may you continue to serve ! ☺

Visit to fix domestic underfloor heating issue was arranged same day. I explained system needed electrical as well as plumbing assessment. Call out fee was described as being “£98”. Went downhill from there. Engineer arrived and spent 30 confused minutes not understanding the UFH system (Heatmiser). Explained he wasn’t qualified to fix electrics & left without fixing. Then when the office called to take payment (engineer got card details wrong), explained that cost was £98 plus VAT…VAT hadn’t been mentioned. Paid £117 for 30 minutes of wasted time. Won’t use again. Wouldn’t suggest using SafeGas for anything UFH related.

We are MCS‑certified and registered with an approved consumer protection/competent person scheme, which is essential for quality assurance and to access grants like the Boiler Upgrade Scheme (BUS).
We carry out a detailed home assessment, including property type, insulation levels, existing heating system and available outdoor space, to confirm whether a heat pump is a good fit.
We design the system using a heat‑loss calculation for your home, then match the correct kW size and model (for example, air‑source vs ground‑source) so it runs efficiently and reliably.
Our fixed quote clearly lists the heat pump, cylinder, controls, labour, scaffolding (if needed), electrical work and any radiator or pipework upgrades, so you know exactly what you’re paying for.
Yes, as an MCS installer we can confirm your eligibility, apply for the BUS grant (worth up to £7,500) on your behalf and deduct it directly from your quote.
A typical air‑source heat pump installation takes around 2–5 days, and we’ll agree locations for the indoor and outdoor units, manage any planning considerations and keep you informed each day.
After the heat‑loss survey, we’ll advise if any radiators, pipework, electrics or hot‑water cylinder need upgrading so the system can run efficiently at lower flow temperatures.
Modern heat pumps are designed to be quiet and must meet UK noise regulations; we’ll position the unit to minimise any impact on you and your neighbours and comply with local planning rules.
You’ll get manufacturer warranties on the heat pump plus our workmanship guarantee, and we offer ongoing servicing and support to keep your system performing at its best.
We’ll estimate your likely annual running costs and potential savings based on your current fuel type, insulation level and tariffs, using real‑world performance data rather than lab figures.
