I recently had a new boiler fitted by this company, and I couldn’t be happier with the service. From start to finish, the team was professional, punctual, and extremely knowledgeable. They explained everything clearly, completed the installation to a very high standard, and left the area spotless afterwards. The new boiler is working perfectly, and the difference in heating efficiency is already noticeable. It’s refreshing to deal with a company that genuinely cares about quality and customer satisfaction. Highly recommended to anyone needing heating work done, fantastic service all round!

Called Sharp Heating to have a boiler service and to replace a radiator. Had to rearrange last minute due to someone being unwell in the home. This whole process was done professionally, courteously and promptly. I was given a quote at the start and they stuck to it. There were some complications discovered once they left the job on the Friday, and I asked them to come back at their earliest availability to fix the issue. They literally returned the next day and completely re-did the radiator install and checked to make sure it was firm in place and not likely to fall. This took them way past their usual working hours, however no one complained and they didn't rush the job either. A commendable group of engineers. I appreciate mistakes happen, but it's how they handle them which makes the difference between good companies and great companies. Would definitely use again.

Sharp Heating & Electrical have done several jobs for me: gas safety check, removed gas fire, replaced taps and radiator valves. They highlighted some issues, e.g. a filter that hadn't been cleaned on the previous gas boiler service, and also installed a shut off boiler air valve while the system was drained, which will save me money in future. They were friendly and professional and provided a good service for a reasonable price.

Firstly, Chelsea in the office was super helpful, arranged our quote quickly, and managed the whole process professionally. Steve the electrician and his colleague have just completed a days work in our house, and were brilliant. Very efficient and respectful in how they work, and also achieved a lot of jobs in a day. Would highly recommend, great company who communicate well, and deliver excellent results.

We have had a new boiler fitted by Sharp Heating & Electrical earlier this week. The installation was completed in one day including the addition of the Hive control system. From quotation to installation it was handled very efficiently by skilled engineers who were very polite and respectful of our property. I would highly recommend Sharp Heating & Electrical to anyone considering a new boiler installation - Michael Lane

Frequently asked questions

How do I know you’re properly qualified and certified to install heat pumps?

We are MCS‑certified and registered with an approved consumer protection/competent person scheme, which is essential for quality assurance and to access grants like the Boiler Upgrade Scheme (BUS).

Can you tell me if a heat pump is actually suitable for my home?

We carry out a detailed home assessment, including property type, insulation levels, existing heating system and available outdoor space, to confirm whether a heat pump is a good fit.

What type and size of heat pump will you recommend for my property, and why?

We design the system using a heat‑loss calculation for your home, then match the correct kW size and model (for example, air‑source vs ground‑source) so it runs efficiently and reliably.

What will the full installation cost be, and what’s included in your quote?

Our fixed quote clearly lists the heat pump, cylinder, controls, labour, scaffolding (if needed), electrical work and any radiator or pipework upgrades, so you know exactly what you’re paying for.

Can you help me access government grants like the Boiler Upgrade Scheme?

Yes, as an MCS installer we can confirm your eligibility, apply for the BUS grant (worth up to £7,500) on your behalf and deduct it directly from your quote.

How much disruption should I expect during installation, and how long does it take?

A typical air‑source heat pump installation takes around 2–5 days, and we’ll agree locations for the indoor and outdoor units, manage any planning considerations and keep you informed each day.

Will I need to replace my radiators or upgrade anything else in my home?

After the heat‑loss survey, we’ll advise if any radiators, pipework, electrics or hot‑water cylinder need upgrading so the system can run efficiently at lower flow temperatures.

How noisy is the outdoor unit and where will it be installed?

Modern heat pumps are designed to be quiet and must meet UK noise regulations; we’ll position the unit to minimise any impact on you and your neighbours and comply with local planning rules.

What warranties, servicing and aftercare do you provide?

You’ll get manufacturer warranties on the heat pump plus our workmanship guarantee, and we offer ongoing servicing and support to keep your system performing at its best.

What running costs and savings can I realistically expect compared to my current boiler?

We’ll estimate your likely annual running costs and potential savings based on your current fuel type, insulation level and tariffs, using real‑world performance data rather than lab figures.
