Very disappointing experience. Taggas carried out an initial home survey (back in Nov '25) for an air source heat pump installation. In January, I was given the 'final proposal', which had various errors with the radiator set-up. What then followed was a back-and-forth between the company and me, lasting several months, during which numerous promises to resolve this were made but never materialised. Someone from the design team called me once and also promised a swift resolution, but as it stands, 6 months after the survey, I still do not have a final plan on what the system set-up should be and cannot make an informed decision. My last email was in March, asking for an update, but that has been ignored. Calls are also not being answered. I feel like I have spent nearly £200 for a survey, which is now of no use to me, as the company that carried it out is unwilling, or incapable, of progressing things further. I have now approached an alternative source and we have made more progress in 3 weeks than I ever did with Taggas in 6 months.

Terrible customer service. Its been over 5 months since my solar installation fault has been reported to Taggas Ltd. They tried to fob me off blaming a company that went into administration but unfortunately that does not work as the money was paid to Taggas Ltd and Taggas Ltd have produced the MCS and the Electric installation certificate was completed by them. They have so far done nothing. Avoid this company at all costs

Five star service from the team at every point - initial survey and options, installation of heat pump and then after service has been exemplary. Well done

I would urge caution if you are not located within travelling distance of this company, I had a solar system installed by this company 2 years ago after they contacted me, they assured me distance was no problem so I went ahead with their proposal. The work was carried out brilliantly and as they promised and for the past two years has been working with no problem, however on March 10th this year the inverter developed a fault. I rang the company and they said it was a simple repair and someone would come the following week. I waited in for the guy to come but nobody arrived, in the late afternoon I received a call saying that their operative wouldn't be coming as it was too far! They then said they would get someone else to come but all of their staff refused because of the distance they would have to travel. Tagas and I did try and get somebody local to do it but no-one would touch it because of liability issues. So here I am on 25th April with a faulty inverter and unable to get a repair done, despite numerous chase calls and promises by Taggas. As I said the install was brilliant and professional but their warranty leaves a lot to be desired if you are not local to them, if this the case avoid!

If you’re thinking of having a government funded solar and ASHP installation, steer clear. Fine to start with, they caused a leak, fixed it but refused to pay for repairs to the walls and ceilings so they didn’t leave my house as they found it which is something they promised at the start. Don’t bother lodging a complaint with NAPIT if you do have problems, waste of effort.
