I have mixed reviews. As a company, they are difficult to get on the phone when you want them, however will be fairly pushy from a mobile when they want to contact. (hurrah for that number, had to use in an emergency) Before xmas I had asbestos removed from loft. Including the insulation and loft hatch. Spent all of xmas/new year absolutely freezing. Eventually get a response and the engineer was shocked to see how it had been left. Tom Hughs - Cambridge... has been AMAZING. He has shown me nothing but politeness and consideration. After he done the first initial survey, he kept in touch day by day, telling me how the order of materials was progressing. He communicated about timings, and showed me flexibility to get time off work, but making the job a priority to get my house warm. Tom Hughs, has been my January hero!

For the past 3 years, they have been coming multiple times every winter with their sub-par "fixes" to our faulty boiler only for it to leak and dysfunction the following winter or sometimes following week, in turn restricting access to heat and hot water. To give a summary: when they do look at a job they claim to be ordering parts, then leave and pass the job over to another "engineer", who says the part is not needed, giving a different diagnoses and the cycle continues with endless calls leading to a temporary fix, only for them to be called a day, a week, or a few months down the line. To this day they have still not fixed the constant leaking from the boiler which occurs during winter months (3 whole years). This month in January 2026 our boiler broke down completely and we were promised a new replacement as soon as possible. We have had no hot water or heating for well over 1 week, not given any heaters, and I have also taken 2 days off from work for their engineers to come, only to be informed that one of them has I quote "called in sick", saying that I will have to wait till the following Monday (reaching almost 2 weeks now of no heat or water now) for a rescheduled appointment and take a 3rd day off from work or arrange a friend for a favour, which again is a major burden, something they are experts at doing: a company specialised in leaving people with these terrible circumstances/burdens.... This company is in shambles as you can see from all the previous reviews inconveniencing most if not all, I'd go far as to say the 1.8 stars listed for this company is a gross overstatement, and warn others of what to expect from TSG.

My gas engineer was called Conrad and I couldn't have been happier with his work his customer service and basically all round genuine regard to the welfare of myself as a tenant being without heating and hot water, unfortunately a part was needed to be ordered and after apologizing he assured me that he himself will be the engineer to attend the following visit and make sure no stone was left unturned and I will be back up and running. Very lovely man so deserved a review. Thanks Conrad much appreciated

Had a boiler installed by TSG on behalf of LBH, next day an electrical engineer attended and whatever he had done stopped the boiler working. Sent an emergency engineer who just removed a part and said it would work and it did not. Engineer was booked for the next day, the engineer did not attend and was told after taking a day off work he was ill, no communication or call. Been told an emergency engineer will attend but probably not fix it, so left from Thursday and over the weekend with no heating and poorly performing immersion heater for a family of 4 with two young children and one medically vulnerable

Absolutely shocking service not sure why anyone would use this company. I have taken the day off 3 times now for them not to turn up 3 times. I wonder how their engineers would like to loose 3 days wages!! Even when/if the works are completed and to a high standard I would still never recommend this company. Would have preferred to give zero stars but I can’t

We are MCS‑certified and registered with an approved consumer protection/competent person scheme, which is essential for quality assurance and to access grants like the Boiler Upgrade Scheme (BUS).
We carry out a detailed home assessment, including property type, insulation levels, existing heating system and available outdoor space, to confirm whether a heat pump is a good fit.
We design the system using a heat‑loss calculation for your home, then match the correct kW size and model (for example, air‑source vs ground‑source) so it runs efficiently and reliably.
Our fixed quote clearly lists the heat pump, cylinder, controls, labour, scaffolding (if needed), electrical work and any radiator or pipework upgrades, so you know exactly what you’re paying for.
Yes, as an MCS installer we can confirm your eligibility, apply for the BUS grant (worth up to £7,500) on your behalf and deduct it directly from your quote.
A typical air‑source heat pump installation takes around 2–5 days, and we’ll agree locations for the indoor and outdoor units, manage any planning considerations and keep you informed each day.
After the heat‑loss survey, we’ll advise if any radiators, pipework, electrics or hot‑water cylinder need upgrading so the system can run efficiently at lower flow temperatures.
Modern heat pumps are designed to be quiet and must meet UK noise regulations; we’ll position the unit to minimise any impact on you and your neighbours and comply with local planning rules.
You’ll get manufacturer warranties on the heat pump plus our workmanship guarantee, and we offer ongoing servicing and support to keep your system performing at its best.
We’ll estimate your likely annual running costs and potential savings based on your current fuel type, insulation level and tariffs, using real‑world performance data rather than lab figures.
