Awful company ZERO responsibility and infinite amount of ignorance, they doing work for Orbit in Alcester, recently they removed part of their compound and left plenty of all sorts and shapes of nails on the grass for children and dogs who play there every day to get harmed and injured. Nothing happens even after several people emailed them including myself. You genuinely ruining nice town we live in. Your workers leave rubbish everywhere they work and listen drum and bass at full blast. Can’t wait for the moment your horrible company leaves our town!!!

We have come across a number of issues with them. The first being that we were given the option to keep our current lights (2x pendant lights) or have them replaced by TWO strip lights, of which we chose the latter. However we have been left with one pendant light and one strip light, which looks ridiculous. If we were told they would only do one, then we would have decided to keep our old lights. We have raised this issue several times, yet have been ignored by Wates. Both Pam and Lesley (Liaison officers between tenants and Wates) stood in our kitchen and told us we would get TWO lights, yet all the workers we have mentioned it to say "Oh, yeah, they only do one light." Who in their right mind would choose to only have one done?! The second is that the paint and electrical work is just plain shoddy. The paint is cracking already, there are stains on the wall and paint drips on the door and it hasn't even been two weeks since it was painted. We haven't caused this as the kitchen is unusable so we haven't even been in there to cook. All the plug sockets have holes surrounding them. The workmen have left a bag of floor leveler on the driveway and it has spilled out all over the neighbours driveway. I have asked Wates for someone to come and clean this and have again been ignored. We have no itinerary of when people are coming, so have had to wait in all day Monday-Friday since the 20th of November, just in case anyone does show up, even though most days no one does. The work had an expected time of 12-15 working days, today is day 15 with no end in sight. We've had a new fan fitted that says "Mansfield District Council" except we are in Sutton and this is not a Council property. We have raised this several times and have been assured it will be rectified, but as of yet nothing has been done. We were even advised to just cover up the logo or pop it out (which I tried, but it isn't actually possible). The cooker does not fit because it hasn't all been measured properly. You can also see that where the cabinets meet the wall that things haven't been measured properly. There are parts that overhang and stick out. The workers never clean up after themselves and there is a complete lack of clarity around everything, you ask a question and get told it will be looked into and then no one gets back to you. They have also scuffed the wall outside the kitchen and haven't painted it. We have a newborn baby (which I made them aware of) and have been left without a washing machine/cooker for days and even left 6 hours without any water or heating and no warning of this, despite being assured we would have constant access to water and would just need to make sure we had water for the first day, but this wasn't the case. When you email Pam (the Liaison officer between tenants and Wates) you very rarely get any response. Some of the worker

I had my bath done and the guy fixed my tabs wrong and they have send someone else to fix my bath tabs, the black man that did it he fixed it properly but he broke the wood around my bath and he didn’t bother to screw it so my bath, is hanging. Very unprofessional that I have to go on here. I tried to call Orville the guy that is dealing with my toilet repair and he doesn’t pick up his phone and he text me to say that he will be calling back I have waited 3 days and not heard from him. I called the office and someone said that I will be contacted. I don’t recommend Wates to anyone what a bad service. I have an autistic son he keeps trying to play with it this is very unacceptable If I don’t hear from anyone this week after the bank holiday I will be making a complaint. If i could give zero stars I would of

Frequently asked questions

How do I know you’re properly qualified and certified to install heat pumps?

We are MCS‑certified and registered with an approved consumer protection/competent person scheme, which is essential for quality assurance and to access grants like the Boiler Upgrade Scheme (BUS).

Can you tell me if a heat pump is actually suitable for my home?

We carry out a detailed home assessment, including property type, insulation levels, existing heating system and available outdoor space, to confirm whether a heat pump is a good fit.

What type and size of heat pump will you recommend for my property, and why?

We design the system using a heat‑loss calculation for your home, then match the correct kW size and model (for example, air‑source vs ground‑source) so it runs efficiently and reliably.

What will the full installation cost be, and what’s included in your quote?

Our fixed quote clearly lists the heat pump, cylinder, controls, labour, scaffolding (if needed), electrical work and any radiator or pipework upgrades, so you know exactly what you’re paying for.

Can you help me access government grants like the Boiler Upgrade Scheme?

Yes, as an MCS installer we can confirm your eligibility, apply for the BUS grant (worth up to £7,500) on your behalf and deduct it directly from your quote.

How much disruption should I expect during installation, and how long does it take?

A typical air‑source heat pump installation takes around 2–5 days, and we’ll agree locations for the indoor and outdoor units, manage any planning considerations and keep you informed each day.

Will I need to replace my radiators or upgrade anything else in my home?

After the heat‑loss survey, we’ll advise if any radiators, pipework, electrics or hot‑water cylinder need upgrading so the system can run efficiently at lower flow temperatures.

How noisy is the outdoor unit and where will it be installed?

Modern heat pumps are designed to be quiet and must meet UK noise regulations; we’ll position the unit to minimise any impact on you and your neighbours and comply with local planning rules.

What warranties, servicing and aftercare do you provide?

You’ll get manufacturer warranties on the heat pump plus our workmanship guarantee, and we offer ongoing servicing and support to keep your system performing at its best.

What running costs and savings can I realistically expect compared to my current boiler?

We’ll estimate your likely annual running costs and potential savings based on your current fuel type, insulation level and tariffs, using real‑world performance data rather than lab figures.
