I have just had a new heat pump system installed in my home by Vito Energy, replacing an 18 year old NIBE system which had come to the end of its life. The whole process, from assessment and presumably design by Greg, and installation and commissioning by lead engineer James, assisted by Andrew and Connie, and by electrician Noel, was smooth and well-organised. I really can't fault anyone in the team. They were punctual, reliable, knowledgeable, tidy and efficient, and completed the job within the time-frame they had originally proposed. When I had a minor problem on the first day, probably due to my unfamiliarity with the system, James came back within hours and rectified things. The new system appears to be working well, with a COP that I imagine is double that of the old system, and very much in line with what they had suggested I should expect. So should you be considering the installation of a heat-pump, I would unhesitatingly recommend VitoEnergy to you. My experience with the company has been a very happy one.

Having had an ASHP installed in 3 days previously in my old house we thought the same pr was would be done- Renewafuel downside survey had a plan and carried it out. From start to finish the whole process with vito has been - well a shambles. The installation started bad, moved the position of the ASHP after it was clear it was not correct - in the contract suggested 5-6 days for installation and commissioning writhing 6 weeks. We finally had the heating turned on last week with a whooping additional £1300 electrician bill that was not factored in (stating 1 day for electrics- local team) in all from first fitting ASHP (no proper survey or plan) 12 weeks This was total pants and the time frame and communication has been awful. From the installers and vito just not being clear, having to chase installation time frames and using more electricity using mobile heaters and Emerson power for the tank has been over £800 for 2 months. There are better team who will fit the whole system quickly, smoothly and with out hassle.

We are most grateful to Charlotte for actioning our boiler service and heating ‘drama’ so swiftly and for Dave who went above and beyond sorting everything. We could not have had such attentive and efficient service. Thank you, great firm and team.

I don't like leaving bad reviews and I always give a company a chance to resolve things when the unexpected happens. In this case Vito has chosen not to respond to my emails, failed to deliver the parts ordered, failed on the installation, failed to return the money owed to me and I may have to take legal action to resolve things. Vito were recommended to me as a supplier for a heat pump installation under the Boiler Upgrade Scheme (BUS). They recommended a Vaillant system with air sourced heat pump and cylinder which is what I agreed to and a date was set. The installation was going to be carried out by a local heating engineer who has been excellent, unlike Vito. The engineer arrived on Monday but the parts did not, apparently the cylinder was not in stock so no delivery was sent, however they didn't tell me or the guys fitting it. After telephoning I was offered an alternative make but no delivery was available before Thursday afternoon. What's more is that Vaillant instead on a second and separate consumer unit costing and £1000 with the fitting, which I hadn't been told about. It would be great if I didn't have to deal with them again but the installation is still not signed off and Vito insists on you paying up front and refunding the grant money once it's been agreed. If I get a good outcome I will update this review so as to be fair with the company but after this I can't recommend them and I won't be using them again.

Recently I instructed Vito Energy Ltd to undertake the installation of a Grant VortexAir 15/21KW-17kw. After extensive research and consultation with Grant Boilers they recommended Vito to carry out the installation for me. I liked the fact that Vito run courses in the education of renewable energy to others in the industry, and they carry out a full heat loss for the property to calculate pipe and emitter sizes, a vital exercise! I did obtain quotations from other companies who were in fact considerably cheaper. I decided to employ Vito after meeting with Patrick on site, he gave me confidence in his knowledge in what is a very complex subject. I met Neil a week before he was due to start this in itself was impressive as he was able to get a feel for the job in hand and order materials he required to start the job. Neil carried out the bulk of the work with Ben and Dave and there work and attention to detail was superb, not only that but they were polite, respectful and a pleasure to have around. I must also mention Mel in the office who kept me fully informed throughout the installation which made everything run very smoothly. I think my installation was one of the last to be registered for the government’s RHI scheme which changed on 31st March 2022 and without Liam I think I would be still filling out the forms! He stayed late until it was complete which I will be eternally grateful for. Thanks to Vito Energy I feel very smug because my ASHP works brilliantly. You read all the time negativity about ASHP undoubtedly due to incorrect installation. Was it worth the extra cost? 100% I cannot recommend Vito Energy highly enough.

Frequently asked questions

How do I know you’re properly qualified and certified to install heat pumps?

We are MCS‑certified and registered with an approved consumer protection/competent person scheme, which is essential for quality assurance and to access grants like the Boiler Upgrade Scheme (BUS).

Can you tell me if a heat pump is actually suitable for my home?

We carry out a detailed home assessment, including property type, insulation levels, existing heating system and available outdoor space, to confirm whether a heat pump is a good fit.

What type and size of heat pump will you recommend for my property, and why?

We design the system using a heat‑loss calculation for your home, then match the correct kW size and model (for example, air‑source vs ground‑source) so it runs efficiently and reliably.

What will the full installation cost be, and what’s included in your quote?

Our fixed quote clearly lists the heat pump, cylinder, controls, labour, scaffolding (if needed), electrical work and any radiator or pipework upgrades, so you know exactly what you’re paying for.

Can you help me access government grants like the Boiler Upgrade Scheme?

Yes, as an MCS installer we can confirm your eligibility, apply for the BUS grant (worth up to £7,500) on your behalf and deduct it directly from your quote.

How much disruption should I expect during installation, and how long does it take?

A typical air‑source heat pump installation takes around 2–5 days, and we’ll agree locations for the indoor and outdoor units, manage any planning considerations and keep you informed each day.

Will I need to replace my radiators or upgrade anything else in my home?

After the heat‑loss survey, we’ll advise if any radiators, pipework, electrics or hot‑water cylinder need upgrading so the system can run efficiently at lower flow temperatures.

How noisy is the outdoor unit and where will it be installed?

Modern heat pumps are designed to be quiet and must meet UK noise regulations; we’ll position the unit to minimise any impact on you and your neighbours and comply with local planning rules.

What warranties, servicing and aftercare do you provide?

You’ll get manufacturer warranties on the heat pump plus our workmanship guarantee, and we offer ongoing servicing and support to keep your system performing at its best.

What running costs and savings can I realistically expect compared to my current boiler?

We’ll estimate your likely annual running costs and potential savings based on your current fuel type, insulation level and tariffs, using real‑world performance data rather than lab figures.
