Spent over £30,000 with Yorkshire Energy Systems on a solar PV system and an ASHP installation in December 2022. While the solar PV system has performed well, the ASHP installation caused ongoing issues from the outset, including difficulty reaching target temperatures, very high running costs compared to what was suggested due to the ASHP being undersized, incorrect location of the ASHP install causing ice buildup and repeated system faults. Despite multiple attempts to resolve these problems, the situation caused significant stress for my family (including vulnerable members), and I ultimately had to remove the ASHP system at my own expense. More recently, a Solar iBoost unit they supplied failed after just over 3 years. When I contacted them, they refused to assist and directed me to the manufacturer rather than addressing the issue as the installer. They also raised a £95 call-out charge that was never agreed in advance, and attempted to recover a £50 balance from 2023 that had never previously been brought to my attention. In the end, I had to resolve the iBoost issue myself directly with the manufacturer. Overall, very poor aftercare and accountability given the level of investment. I would expect a much higher standard of service and support.
Y.E.S have installed a heat pump and underfloor heating system as part of a renovation of my house. I have been really happy with the work carried out. I think more importantly customer service was great. Paul was really helpful with the design then the installation team were friendly and helpful. I don’t think I’d have got this level of service if I’d had it installed by one of the big energy companies. Will probably ask them to do solar panels too !
I've been delighted with the installation and subsequent usage of my Solar PV and Air Source Heat Pump. Yorkshire Energy Systems has been professional and straight forward to deal with. The initial quotation and forecast of generation has proved to be very accurate over nearly 2 years.
I am incredibly pleased with the service from YES. After contemplating whether to substitute an old boiler for a new boiler or an Airsource Heat Pump, the team gave us all the information we needed in order to make a decision. We were very impressed with the team’s knowledge, in particular: Chris, Helen and Giuseppe were fantastic in the advice, support and assistance they provided. Having received the quote the day after inspection, we decided to go ahead with the Airsource Heat Pump, they were in the following week fitting the new system. Faultless customer service and so far, a fantastic product. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this team to anyone considering an air source heat pump.
