I looked at some of the bigger companies but quickly realised that smaller, local was better. I chose Alba because they were local to me and seemed very knowledgeable, their prices were reasonable and they talked sense. The fit was extremely efficient, neat and tidy and all carried out by very pleasant and helpful tradesmen. I would have appreciated a clearer handover on completion. This technology is completely foreign to me so being told to search youtube for information was a little disappointing. It can't be difficult to prepare a short handout to give to customers advising them on what the next steps they need to take and where to find information on their new system. The app looks wonderful but it will be a while before I understand it. That aside, I found Alba very good to work for a cannot fault their installation teams. I would recommend them.

Arrived on time. After a discussion where the main unit would be installed, work proper started. Note : They had only seen photos of the working area in advance. Once started, it did not take long. On completion it was a tidy installation.

Delighted with the solar installation. The installers did a great job, explained what they were doing with minimum disruption to the house. Installation took only half a day. Very impressed.

I first contacted Alba Heat and Power back in February to enquire about having Solar PV and battery storage installed at my home. An appointment was arranged, and later that same week Ryan and Wayne visited to discuss my ideas. I had already done some research and was leaning towards the Sigenstor SigEnergy system. Wayne agreed it was an excellent choice. After listening carefully to my needs, he measured up the roof space and talked me through several options. It was genuinely a pleasure speaking with both Wayne and Ryan — no pressure, no sales tactics, just honest advice. Within a couple of days, I received a few quotes for different system sizes, along with links to performance and payback reports. These were incredibly helpful in deciding what size of system to go for. Once I confirmed I wanted to proceed, Ryan submitted the necessary applications to the DNO. From there it was simply a waiting game for approval, which takes around 45 working days. During that time, I had a few questions, all of which were answered quickly and clearly by email or phone. Nothing was ever too much trouble. Once everything was approved, an installation date was set. The team arrived first thing in the morning, and by the afternoon the full system was installed and running. I wasn’t home during the installation, but my wife said Euan and the team were brilliant. The workmanship is outstanding — the cabling is neat, tidy, and there wasn’t a trace of mess left behind. After completion, Ryan sent over a full handover pack and has already requested my export MPAN so I can apply for SEG and start exporting excess energy back to the grid. My system has now been running for five days, and it has far exceeded my expectations. Even on cloudy days, the panels and battery have been generating enough power to keep the whole house running on solar alone, with barely any draw from the grid. Today was the best so far, with over 54 kWh of solar energy produced. I have 13 x 475W Eurena panels facing SSE and another 7 facing NNW, which pick up the late evening sun perfectly. Everything is connected to a SigEnergy 8 kW inverter and a 9 kWh battery. I’m absolutely delighted with the entire experience and the quality of the installation. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Alba Heat and Power to friends, family, or anyone considering solar. Thanks again to the whole team. Chris & Donna
