We had solar panels &new conservatory roof as part of work proposed. The solar panels/electrical team were great and did a good job. They explained everything they had completed. October 2023. Unfortunately the conservatory roof was left unfinished (had to get someone else to do gable ends as would be damaged by weather). Slates have since come off. Fascia board is broken and so guttering / downpipe not working... reported, person they sent out (who did the job) says someone must have stood on it, effectively denying poor work. Awaiting further response.........

I just had some work completed by GES, these guys are brilliant, they take great pride in their work, very methodical, and work as a happy team, nothing is too much trouble, problems with my house appeared and were soon sorted. The electricians discovered that half of our house was inadequately earthed, this was completed before I knew about it and a very neat job was done, we had a new boiler fitted in which the wall behind the old boiler was a mess, this again was soon sorted and boarded out and the pipe work is the neatest I’ve ever seen, excellent job done by all. Refreshing to see young enthusiastic apprentices who were very keen (and no mobiles) all brilliant thank you!

I had air source heat pump, solar panels and new radiators installed under a Grant, and was told by Community Home Solutions that GES were the installers - I was concerned as previous reviews did not look good - however I could not fault them; professional, polite, tidy, on time and considerate. I would not hesitate to recommend them. Mark Baldwin and Marcus lead a helpful, friendly and efficient team - you have nothing to worry about.....

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We recently had our boiler installed by GES Mechanical and Electrical Ltd, and we couldn’t be happier with the experience. From the initial consultation to the installation day, everything was handled professionally and efficiently. The team was punctual, friendly, and showed great attention to detail. They kept our home tidy throughout the installation, and we felt they truly respected our space. The installers took the time to explain how everything worked, answering all our questions patiently. Our new boiler is running perfectly, and we’ve already noticed a big improvement in our home’s heating efficiency. Overall, GES Mechanical and Electrical Ltd exceeded our expectations. Highly recommended for anyone in need of reliable and top-quality boiler installation! Thank you, GES, for the fantastic service!

The short version of this review is this is a company that can be trusted and in my experience, delivers more than is expected. I can recommend them wholeheartedly and with no trepidation. I have physical conditions and issues that at best, are incredibly painful, at worst, completely immobilise me. My house had an ancient ‘heating’ system and was, to say the least, inefficient. GES turned our home into somewhere that is comfortable, warm and a place I want to spend time instead of a freezing, uncomfortable, awful experience. I came across GES through the company that was managing the work that needed to take place in the house. I have never been so fortunate to have a company do just about anything for me, let alone such a major thing as remove and then instal a brand new heating system. I cannot really talk about the technical aspect of what was done, but I can tell you I no longer have to wear fleece lined clothing, multiple hoodies, hat and gloves, and when it got terrible, my indoor coat, inside the house! While the technicalities may be out of my wheelhouse, I can definitely tell you about the people within GES. As you might imagine, there were many people that had to be involved in such a large undertaking. From Mark, who is the lead engineer, to Dan and Sam, the first two fitters that arrived, Paul the electrical lead engineer, Luke, the fitter that came all the way down from Doncaster to sort out an issue, and not forgetting Rob, who’s title I’m not sure of, but he deals with the technical scheduling and acts as the customers point of contact, they are all terrific professionals and amazingly nice people. Honestly, I am so lucky to have had GES do all this work for us. I mentioned earlier about the physical issues I have. The pain is draining and makes one exhausted. This team was aware of my issues and did everything to ensure that I could rest, that I was undisturbed when I was feeling bad, and simply so thoughtful, kind and respectful it was as though this installation was being carried out by family! Really top drawer, brilliant people. They really put the person's who's house they are working in first. I honestly have nothing but positive things to say about GES, their professionalism, the manner in which they carried out the work and the knowledge that it is never too much trouble if I have questions, I can simply call Rob, or one of the team and they will answer the questions I have and reassure me it is never any trouble. Whether it is the people, the project management or the outcome, every aspect is worth at least 5 stars. I'd like to take this opportunity to say thank you to all the people that I have mentioned, but also those whose names I unfortunately cannot remember and haven't been able to find in notes, emails, etc. Everyone of the wider team played a crucial part in providing me with a home that I no longer have to wear multiple layers to just get through the day. Thank you GES, you are a company that doesn't make grand claims, you simply deliver grand solutions and I wish you, and those fortunate enough to have you work in their homes, all the very best. Cheers.

We are MCS‑certified and registered with an approved consumer protection/competent person scheme, which is essential for quality assurance and to access grants like the Boiler Upgrade Scheme (BUS).
We carry out a detailed home assessment, including property type, insulation levels, existing heating system and available outdoor space, to confirm whether a heat pump is a good fit.
We design the system using a heat‑loss calculation for your home, then match the correct kW size and model (for example, air‑source vs ground‑source) so it runs efficiently and reliably.
Our fixed quote clearly lists the heat pump, cylinder, controls, labour, scaffolding (if needed), electrical work and any radiator or pipework upgrades, so you know exactly what you’re paying for.
Yes, as an MCS installer we can confirm your eligibility, apply for the BUS grant (worth up to £7,500) on your behalf and deduct it directly from your quote.
A typical air‑source heat pump installation takes around 2–5 days, and we’ll agree locations for the indoor and outdoor units, manage any planning considerations and keep you informed each day.
After the heat‑loss survey, we’ll advise if any radiators, pipework, electrics or hot‑water cylinder need upgrading so the system can run efficiently at lower flow temperatures.
Modern heat pumps are designed to be quiet and must meet UK noise regulations; we’ll position the unit to minimise any impact on you and your neighbours and comply with local planning rules.
You’ll get manufacturer warranties on the heat pump plus our workmanship guarantee, and we offer ongoing servicing and support to keep your system performing at its best.
We’ll estimate your likely annual running costs and potential savings based on your current fuel type, insulation level and tariffs, using real‑world performance data rather than lab figures.
