Made a call to Hewer with intentions of their engineer fixing a thermostat connection to my boiler and adressing and getting my hob to work as no gas coming out ..Ignition light working..He arrived at 7.59 am and gone by 8.10am..Hed not a clue how to pair a thermostat with a boiler ?,??i was that cross i went on the internet after he left and paired them both myself ..He was half asleep and not intertested ..Ive received a bill which i accept £60 call out plus vat .He did nothing ..Great way for a company to work and gain money through their staff .Will not use them again and advise others not to do so ...

Tried to call to reschedule a gas check. Both people i spoke to were rude and unhelpful. The woman I spoke to constantly spoke to over me and when I asked her to stop she hung up on me. Terrible customer service

Cowboy builders. Avoid at all cost. Caused thousands of pounds worth of damage to my house when they incorrectly installed a boiler on behalf of British Gas. They left me and my baby daughter without hot water for 13 days. The manager then repeatedly lied to us and tried to avoid liability.

Dear Sir/Madam, I am writing to express my sincere thanks to your company for hosting my son, Harry Dyer, for his work experience placement from the 18th to the 22nd of May 2026. Harry thoroughly enjoyed the entire week and gained an incredible amount of valuable, practical insight into the industry. Over the course of the placement, he was introduced to essential safety and operational procedures, including inductions, risk assessments, managing boiler breakdowns, and the process of condemning boilers. In addition to the theoretical knowledge, Harry was given the opportunity to get hands-on while being fully supported and supervised. He gained practical experience in a wide range of tasks, including: Checking flues in lofts and replacing gas pipe clips Inspecting gas cookers and servicing combi boilers Bleeding and rehanging radiators, as well as replacing a boiler filling loop Testing heating systems and smoke alarms Draining and isolating water supplies Auditing gas certificates and using the company PDA Learning how engineers are audited on their work. I would also like to take this opportunity to give a massive thank you to your Lead Heating Engineer, Mr James Davies, who mentored Harry throughout the week. James showed a wonderfully supportive, encouraging, and caring nature, using his extensive expertise and knowledge to make the placement both highly educational and genuinely enjoyable for Harry. The experience has been incredibly positive for him, and we are very grateful for the time and effort your team invested in his development. Regards Simon Dyer
