Jorro are a superb company supplying correctly planned Solar and Battery systems at a fair price. Steve McMahon's depth of knowledge and enthusiasm for green energy is a credit to the company. Another Company quoted us a third more for a poorly specified system. We were looking for a 10KW battery and panels to feed it so contacted Jorro. Steve got back quickly and once he had our location sent us a proposal based on map data, house orientation etc. We were happy with the proposal so Steve came out to do a survey. Our system consists of 13 Solar panels and a 10KW battery. Importantly Steve specified a 5.9KW inverter for the system whereas the other company specified a 3.6KW inverter. This is important because a 5.9KW inverter will make the most of our 13 panel solar array and make it pay back sooner. A 3.6KW inverter would be a bottleneck. Both inverters cost the same but other companies want to avoid paperwork of applying for a higher power rating G99 approval then just bung a system out while charging you a third more! I would have missed that (not being an electrician) but Steve was on it. Massive confidence boost right there. Any questions I had were answered clearly, quickly and precisely. From contacting Jorro to full installation was a shade under 2 months. The G99 application took a bit of time for Scottish Power Energy Networks(SPEN) to turn around but that's a small time inconvenience for a properly specified system. Once we had the Distributed Network Operator(DNO) letter from SPEN, Jorro could give us an installation date for a few days later. The installation teams were friendly and efficient. 2 Electricians and 2 Solar Panel fitters worked hard to install the whole system in 1 day. All good, tidy work. Everything working as it should. Once works were complete we had a few days getting used to the system and made the final Payment. A completion pack, including MCS certificate, and documents were then sent over. Worth noting that you need the DNO letter(G99) and Microgeneration Certification Scheme(MCS) certificate to apply for a smart tariff. We are very happy we put our trust and confidence in Jorro. Jorro is a stand out, fair and professional company. We wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

If you are considering solar/battery options please reach out to Steve McMahon who works here. He helped us get our PV and battery system set up 2 yrs ago via another company that he previously worked for. We ran into some issues with the system a few months ago and our previousinstaller left us high and dry. Steve reached out to us after I posted for help in a social media group. I think the poor soul ended up at our house 5 times trying to get our GivEnergy system to recognise the battery. Thankfully its all now working and back to saving us a huge amount of money. Its rare to find someone who cares so passionately about helping customers after they have completed a sale. Also met one of Jorro's electricians who was a lovely bloke too! Steve thank you for sorting everything out, being true to your word and linking in with us to make sure things were ok. If (more likely when!) we extend our battery storage I'll be back in touch.

I had been toying with the idea of Solar Panels for some time. Unfortunately, my earlier experience was not great. Octopus suggested Jorro, along with two other companies. I was amazed by Steven (McMahon)'s passion, knowledge, and approach. He took me from the basics to the best configuration for our home and why. Emphasis on the maximal utilisation of the house's potential was an aspect that only Jorro guided us with, thanks, Steven. Each step was described in detail, and they showed patience in clearing any doubts we had, even if they may have sounded rank silly. Communication from Lesley (Wilson) was always prompt, clear and comprehensive. They took complete responsibility for the paperwork and kept me updated. It was transparent, no-overhead, competitive pricing. The installation was prompt, professional and led by David and team, who were eager beavers and completed the work, cleaned up the rubbish and made sure the system was working (they had to make a few calls to Tesla to make sure the customer could control the unit and everything was functioning properly) and tutored me with the nitty-gritty, before they left. Even after installation, Steven and the rest of the Jorro team helped obtain export numbers, assess the system, and monitor performance. Jorro's team came across as not just excellent workers but also dedicated to the cause, passionate about solar energy work, keeping the customer's interests paramount, and demonstrating exceptional professionalism and courtesy. I would strongly recommend that other potential customers hear from Jorro before they decide on their solar plans

JORRO, Quick to respond, analyse and install! Dave Pickles was quick to respond and find a quick install date too! Important when you have just taken delivery of your first electric car. An in person consultation was not necessary for my install as Dave had visited the house previously and so a few photos (directed by Jorro) gave precise locations of what our options were. Re the install, Ricky did a great job! He was really efficient and the Internet was only off for about 6-8 minutes!!! The whole job looks great and charger is now connected to our Octopus account - Thanks again Dave and the whole Jorro team 👍 To add - We have been so impressed that the household has now got two electric cars, would not hesitate in using Jorro in the future for any installations.

We've recently had a 9kWp solar system and Tesla Powerwall 3 installed by Jorro (October 2025). Steve McMahon coordinated everything throughout from initial survey through to after sales support. We did experience a manufacturing issue with the battery but Steve personally conducted the troubleshooting and it was resolved in a much quicker timeline by Jorro than even the Tesla suggested. The system is now fully up and running like a dream (12.5kWh generated today). We cannot recommend Jorro highly enough, competitive pricing matched with a service that goes over and above.
