It is a real pleasure to write a review for Simon and Ross, whose professionalism, dependability and so obviously genuine desire and commitment to do the best for us stands out among the many traders we have dealt with. The first thing that stood out for my wife and I was the promptness, clarity and extreme helpfulness of their communications. We were deliberating over which heat pump to use, where to locate it and where to fit the associated pipe work and hot water tank. One such email came complete with bespoke explanatory sketches/diagrams prepared for us by Simon. He prepared and sent us another while he was supposed to be on leave! Space is at a premium in our house, so the water tank, with its controls and pipework, needed to be fitted into what was our airing cupboard. Ross sourced a slimline cistern tank and one or other of them visited our house several times to recheck the cupboard dimensions, as it was going to be a very tight squeeze. When the 3-day installation period came, we made ourselves scarce during the daytime but returned in the evenings to cook and to sleep. This worked well for us and the degree of disruption was markedly less that we had anticipated. They had told us they'd have to take up the landing carpet to install pipework on day 1, but when we came home we concluded they hadn't had do it. It turned out they had, but we would never have known! Then on day 3 came a snag; the new heat pump had arrived with a fault which resulted in the manufacturer (Ideal) having to send out their engineer to put that right. Simon did say that this was the first time he had encountered a problem with any of the Ideal heat pumps he'd installed, including in his own home. The blessing in disguise was that this engineer did a thorough check of the whole installation and was able to assure my wife and I that, unlike many installations he'd had to check, this installation had been well and properly installed by Simon and Ross and he praised the neatness of their pipework. Through no fault of Simon and Ross, waiting for the manufacturer's engineer meant a delay over a weekend before Simon and Ross could complete their final checks and get the system fully up and running. The care shown and effort made to ensure we still had hot water and no leaks over that period was beyond duty, Simon making himself available to us for consultation at any time through the weekend. They also disconnected and took away our old oil boiler, leaving everything tidy. It was a pleasure having Simon and Ross work for us. They always arrived with grins on their faces and we wholeheartedly recommend Plymouth Heating Solutions to anyone wanting a heat pump installed.

Simon and Ross upgraded our existing heating system, installing an air source heat pump, hot water cylinder, and some new radiators. Everything about their work inspires confidence. Always friendly and courteous, they took time to listen to our questions and preferences, as well as explaining a lot about what they were doing. Their work is very tidy, and they put a lot of thought into fitting the cylinder into the awkward corner which suited us best. At handover they gave us electronic and hard copies of all paperwork, careful demonstrations of the controls, plus a list of potential teething troubles to look out for. When one of those did crop up they came out immediately to rectify the problem. We're very satisfied – highly recommended.

Simon and Ross have just completed our new Air source heat pump installation. We highly recommend them. They work hard, and effectively and arrived on time every day, and finished when they said they would…the pipe work even looks lovely! I’m now sitting by a cosy radiator😊. We asked a lot of questions and they were both ready willing and able to answer all of them. They are a delight! And (so far) we are delighted. We are reassured by their promise to be available should anything arise that worries us. Considering all the upheaval we couldn’t be more happy.

I cannot speak highly enough of our experience. Simon, Ross & apprentice Ben were excellent from start to finish. The system was installed more quickly than we were expecting and the work done to a very high standard. They left everything neat and tidy both inside and out and gave us a thorough briefing on how to get the best out of our new system. Absolutely recommended without any hesitation. Thank you.

We had the old boiler taken out, new boiler fitted, new radiators fitted etc.... Absolutely great team, clean, polite, fast working, top marks for every aspect of respect for our property, work ethics and hard work.
