Note: I had my install done by YourEnergy, Chesterfield and it looks like they are now trading as Derbyshire Renewables from the same Chesterfield address with the same director names. This review relates to YourEnergy but I cannot get a google listing to allow me to add a review to YourEnergy We had a Midea heat pump installed by YourEnergy just over a year ago now. They did an excellent job of the design, a reasonably good job of the install - I'd give them 8 out of 10. They originally said the install would take 5 days but squeezed it into 4 days and had to rush to get things done. So things probably weren't done as well as they ought to have been i.e there wasn't really much of a handover, explaining how to operate the system, and I would normally expect the system to get balanced to make sure there is an even distribution of heat throughout the house. This wasn't done. Having watched many videos and read the forums on renewableheatinghub (the largest heat pump forum in the UK I believe - do a search for it) the installers on there say they expect to visit installs up to 5 or 6 times to tweek things. I certainly didn't get anything like this. I've had 3 issues with the system since the install. Firstly there was a problem with the external pipework insulation. Initially didn't want to come out and deal with this, but did eventually agree that it was a problem and re-installed the insulation. It took a few weeks of arguing to get this done. Secondly, there has been an constant E7 error getting flagged on the house controller and phone app for most of the last year. I was told that this wasn't an issue to worry about and they would clear the fault at some point which they didn't do. In my recent talks with Midea re: servicing I have been given instructions on how to update the firmware on my unit and clear the fault. It would have been much better to have it done by YourEnergy really. Thirdly, the anti-freeze valves activated and let the water out of the system whilst we were away on an extended holiday. They came out straight away and fixed this in our absence. This was definitely 1st class service and I would say the only time I have had a positive experience with YourEnergy since the install. Now to my main complaint! My heat pump is now due it's first service. An annual service is required to keep the warranty - as well as making sure the whole system is operating correctly/efficiently. As part of the install I was promised the first 2 years service for free. I have emails from them to say this. Unfortunately YourEnergy have not responded to multiple emails or voicemails (over the last 3/4 weeks) to arrange this service. The 2 free services which are mentioned on the Midea website, and I was provided with the official Midea leaflet detailing this. After contacting Midea, it turns out that this offer is only available through the original installer and is up to them to decide whether to offer it and then to honour this offer and provide it. The free servicing was part of the reason I went with the Midea heat pump. I am now trying to arrange a third party to do the service and have been quoted approx. £216 to £230 inc. VAT. Some companys say they only service their own installs so getting someone to do isn't proving that easy. So it looks like I will have to spend approx. £450 to cover 2 services which should be free. It's such a shame that YourEnergy have chosen to not honour their promise and get this negative review. Note: I have only read a couple of other YourEnergy reviews but noticed one other reviewer saying that they were paying the monthly service plan to get an annual service and hadn't managed to contact YourEnergy to arrange it - they had to go to a third party - so this isn't an isolated problem!See less Edit Delete

After a wait for the units to arrive (understandable given the heatwaves we've had this summer) the team have really impressed us with their quality of work and professionalism. Really happy with our install, and so glad we finally decided to get air con, it's been a game changer!

Absolute joke of a company. I've made two appointments for a heat pump survey with these guys. First time he said he'd forgot, we set another date, no show, no phone call!!

I thought this was a serious company that treated its customers with respect. A representative came to my home to inspect the site and prepare a quote. He stated that the estimate might take a few days, which I agreed to. After about a week, I sent a follow-up text message but received absolutely no response. I messaged the number used for the initial contact several times, yet heard nothing back. Alex—the man who had visited my home for the quote—never got in touch again. It is a waste of time dealing with such an unprofessional company that does not take its customers seriously.

We recently had air conditioning installed by Derbyshire Renewables and, given that it was a significant investment, we were naturally a little anxious about how good the overall experience would be. We needn’t have worried - the whole experience was absolutely first class. A special mention has to go to the two guys who carried out the installation. They were brilliant throughout - friendly, helpful, explained everything clearly and did an exceptionally clean and tidy job. The quality of the installation really impressed me. Alex did a fantastic job managing supply constraints during the recent heatwaves, with regular, clear communication throughout. Really impressed from start to finish. Excellent service and a first-class installation. Highly recommended.
