When I moved to a new house, with an original and unsafe gas boiler and old immersion cylinder, I contacted Ben who visited on moving day to do an initial heat loss survey and advise about an air source heat pump. Ben and Jake began the work as planned within a few weeks and did a fantastic job installing the pump, new cylinder, radiators throughout and all the pipework. An external MCS assessor has visited and told me the installation is top quality and (even to a non-technology/non-plumber like myself) the installation and pipework are amazing. I was warm and cosy all last winter and Ben is always on hand to explain any aspect of the system and setting the controls if I need advice. Highly recommended!

The Vaillant "Heat Pump" team referred me to Ben Pitkin (Eco Sphere Energy) as one of their preferred tradesmen. Ben picked up my enquiry and readily made an appointment to come and discuss my project. This prompt attention continued throughout the whole process of installing a completely new plumbing system. Air source heat pump, cylinder, radiators and new pipework into a project house, replacing night storage heaters and an old decrepit copper cylinder with immersion heaters. There were a couple of miss timed messages from Vaillant but after my initial inquiry they were not part of the process because Ben was on the ball with everything. I asked for very "in depth" information about planning, building regulations and the regulatory process but all the details were readily forthcoming and honest with full disclosure from all agencies. There was a considerable upheaval with work to every room however the project was completed within the allocated two weeks and everything returned to normal. The team stayed on site working but with different trades as needed and the work was completed to a high standard throughout. Ben made available all of the information relating to the MCS scheme and documentation for several other bodies (National Grid, for one) all resolved in the background. The final paperwork and signing off being completed without any intervention from me but notifications all arriving within the process. Chris Law

EcoSphere installed a system in our 1950s house in October 2025. The house had been extended twice and had 2 new positions for central heating boilers. The complexity did not fit with a national installer's business model , however their surveyor pointed us in Ben's direction. Ben was very thorough and patient in his responses to many questions about the design and installation. Over the course of a week, 12 radiators, a lot of big calibre piping, a new hot water tank, and a 12kw Arotherm Air source pump were installed. As with any significant installation there was upheaval. This was mitigated by consideration. There were snags which were listened to and resolved quickly. Unlike a gas fired system, it has taken a bit of googling and trial and error to get used to the system controls, getting the balance of heat and hot water working to meet the home's needs The result: a house that is now comfortably warm throughout the day, has lost the cold rooms at the end of long pipe runs and has enough hot water for everybody. We have subsequently installed a solar battery system. The solar installer ( who also installs heat pumps) commented on how efficiently the heat pump system was drawing power and over the last month our energy bill has been halved when compared to the equivalent period of 2024-25 ! Thank you Ben and his colleagues at EcoSphere

Reformenergy provided an amazing and professional service from start to finish. For us they removed our old night storage heaters and installed a complete new air source heat pump, water tank and radiators. The service was exactly what we expected after looking around at the industry and training bodies like Heatgeeks. First they came and did a survey of the house and measured everything so they could perform heat loss calculations allowing them to design the system to meet our needs. This design stage is what sets plumbers and heating engineers apart, and also gives this technology a bad name. Without this design, the system will not work effectively. Once all was accepted, the installation was smooth with great communication. We are in the colder part of the year now with the heating coming on, and all I can say is the house has never been as warm or had such hot water before. Due to the great design work our system is running around 4.9-5.5 scop depending if it is heating water or not. This means our system is at least 490% efficient turning every 1kw of electricity into 4.9kw of heat, which compared to gas which is about 90% efficient. Great work and a big thanks to the team at Reformenergy Services Ltd.

Ben has sorted out the mcs paperwork for us a couple of times now and has allowed us to flawlessly transition from our own bespoke plans to installation. On average we are achieving 1kw-7kw COP

We are MCS‑certified and registered with an approved consumer protection/competent person scheme, which is essential for quality assurance and to access grants like the Boiler Upgrade Scheme (BUS).
We carry out a detailed home assessment, including property type, insulation levels, existing heating system and available outdoor space, to confirm whether a heat pump is a good fit.
We design the system using a heat‑loss calculation for your home, then match the correct kW size and model (for example, air‑source vs ground‑source) so it runs efficiently and reliably.
Our fixed quote clearly lists the heat pump, cylinder, controls, labour, scaffolding (if needed), electrical work and any radiator or pipework upgrades, so you know exactly what you’re paying for.
Yes, as an MCS installer we can confirm your eligibility, apply for the BUS grant (worth up to £7,500) on your behalf and deduct it directly from your quote.
A typical air‑source heat pump installation takes around 2–5 days, and we’ll agree locations for the indoor and outdoor units, manage any planning considerations and keep you informed each day.
After the heat‑loss survey, we’ll advise if any radiators, pipework, electrics or hot‑water cylinder need upgrading so the system can run efficiently at lower flow temperatures.
Modern heat pumps are designed to be quiet and must meet UK noise regulations; we’ll position the unit to minimise any impact on you and your neighbours and comply with local planning rules.
You’ll get manufacturer warranties on the heat pump plus our workmanship guarantee, and we offer ongoing servicing and support to keep your system performing at its best.
We’ll estimate your likely annual running costs and potential savings based on your current fuel type, insulation level and tariffs, using real‑world performance data rather than lab figures.
