I’d like to offer special thanks to Matthew who visited our property to fit an inverter and solar panels in March this year. Matthew arrived promptly and well presented on Monday 16 March 2026. I showed him the location for fitting the inverter and after studying the site, he explained where in the basement the inverter would be best placed and the reasons for this. I had a couple of questions about an electrical socket that would need relocating and how/where the wiring would go to service the panels. Matthew communicated this extremely well and put my mind at ease, so I felt able to go out and leave him to it! I plied him with tea and biscuits and whenever I popped down to the basement he was working diligently and up to his eye’s in cabling. At the time the solar panels were being installed, our roof was in a poor state of repair. When Matthew and his colleague were feeding the cable up under the eaves and into the loft space, three roof tiles fell off. I wasn’t at home when this happened, but as soon as I returned, Matthew was quick to tell me exactly what happened. I was really impressed by his honesty, as some trades people might not have been so upfront and would avoid any challenge. Matthew’s work was extremely neat and professional and he tidied up nicely afterwards. You wouldn’t even know he’d been there. Matthew and the team did such a great job, we’ve since had them back to the house to install a battery. We’ve had a very positive experience with Eljay and would highly recommend their services.

From the initial consultation with Martin from Eljay to the final installation the process was seamless. Martin explained everything clearly, answered all questions and kept us updated at every stage. The scaffolding went up the day before installation started and was taken down the day after the installation finished. The installation was completed on time with minimal disruption. Matt and all of the team worked clean and tidy. Panels are performing exactly as promised. Seeing a massive reduction of the energy bill already. We can highly recommend for anyone considering solar. A big "thank you " to all of the team for making it such a positive experience. Highly recommended for anyone considering solar panels, we couldn't be happier with our choice of supplier.
