Substandard work, ongoing internal leak, no accountability We had work carried out by this company under a government-backed scheme. The workmanship has been poor from the start, and a TrustMark inspection later confirmed that further remedial work was required. Instead of resolving the original issues properly, the company carried out this "further work" incorrectly — the rendering and sealing were not done to standard, leaving visible gaps. This has since caused an internal water leak, resulting in significant damage to our ceiling. Since the leak started, we have contacted the directors on numerous occasions. Each time we are told an inspector or engineer will be sent out, but despite these repeated assurances, nobody has actually attended in several months. The lack of follow-through and the repeated excuses have left us feeling that we are not being taken seriously. Given that this company is operating under a government scheme, I believe there should be a higher standard of accountability. We have raised another formal complaint with TrustMark and are seeking legal advice to gain compensation for the damage caused to our property. If you are considering this company for work under a government scheme, I would urge caution and recommend checking recent reviews and their TrustMark compliance record before proceeding. Golden Globe and it's subsidiary companies needs to be banned from being able to administer any government backed schemes. The directors are untrustworthy and have no consideration for the quality of work they complete and damaging property

Don’t use them they are absolute cowboys. I’ve been chasing them for two months now and they read my message and don’t respond. Long story short a year ago or longer they completed rendering on my property and covered up every single airbrick on the side of the property. I’ve spoken with a female and a male here who said they will get this sorted out but now haven’t responded in over a month. It’s dangerous and they clearly have no regard. A very simple task to recut the render and install air brick covers but they do not care. I only realised when I saw my neighbours who had the airbricks. This is an issue that can be spotted with the eye who knows what other things they mess up. Avoid them totally once you’ve signed their work you won’t hear from them for any after care even if they messed up the job like in my case

Very disappointing experience with Golden Globe Merchants Ltd. My solar and battery system was installed in January 2026. I made over 30 calls reporting that the system was not generating electricity properly, but I was repeatedly told it was due to poor weather. After investigating myself, I discovered that the solar system had been left switched off for approximately three months after installation. I also repeatedly reported that the battery was not discharging at night. An engineer initially said there was no fault, but the company later accepted that the battery was not operating correctly and advised that parts had been ordered. More recently, changes were made to the system settings and the system became completely non-operational. Despite numerous promises that an engineer would attend, the issues remain unresolved. The most frustrating part has been the lack of communication, repeated broken promises and the amount of time I have spent chasing a solution. I hope the company now takes responsibility, fixes the system properly and compensates me for the losses caused by months of poor or non-existent performance.
