Terrible DO NOT USE. No option to leave zero stars. We commissioned a detailed survey from A Mellor Plumbing and Heating Services Ltd prior to exchange of contracts on our new house to identify any big costs. In particular we flagged concerns that the boiler was 10 years old & had no service history. The section of the report relating to the boiler /heating system was extremely brief but confirmed that the system was in good working order. We followed up afterwards on the phone and by email and we were assured that there were no issues of concern likely to require investment in the heating system in the short term. In reliance on the report, we proceeded with the purchase and without any further negotiation with the sellers. Less than one week after moving in, the boiler broke down and had to be replaced. This cost us in excess of £3,000. The plumber we used raised a number of concerns with the condition of the boiler and the heating system generally. We contacted Mellor’s to request a refund for the £420 we had paid them to try and avoid this exact issue. We didn’t receive a reply so chased up with management. Management have since been somewhat rude and confrontational. They refused to give us a refund or offer any further assistance. The customer service has been terrible. I would strongly suggest you avoid using this company. We are now £3,400 out of pocket which could have been avoided if their report had correctly identified the issues now identified. The management clearly has no concern or respect for its customers.

Air Con Installation by a Fantastic company - I went out to a few companies for a quote for air con this year and I was blown away at how incredibly professional, hardworking and amazing this company was. From booking the initial quote, the company have been incredible every step of the way by listening to what we wanted and needed, to being available and answering all queries and questions promptly, creating multiple quotes to suit our budget and installing this with minimal interruption to our home. The installers Brad and Kennedy were fantastic and so respectful of our home. They worked so hard for 3 solid days installing air con in our kitchen, living room and bedroom and ensuring everything was put exactly right to how it was before. Everyone we came into contact with from this company were outstanding, from the organisers to the installers to the electricians, all fantastic and I cannot rate them highly enough, if you are thinking of air con, please go no further!!

I called Mellor Plumbing and Heating for boiler maintenance, and they sent an engineer, but after two days the boiler was still not serviced and completely non-functional. They then sent me an initial bill of £934 for new piping installation, which was later reduced to £585. Their engineer claimed there was a gas leak, but I saw no evidence; he didn't show me anything, and I didn't smell any gas in the house. The real problem had nothing to do with the gas; the boiler wasn't working because the pump was stuck. On June 9th, 2026 I called another company, and their engineer fixed the problem in just 5 minutes, and the boiler was working immediately. I had a terrible experience with this company when they sent an inexperienced engineer who misdiagnosed the pump problem as a gas leak, installed unnecessary new piping, and cost me nearly £600. This was a sales trick, and I am very unhappy. I will never go back to this company again and will tell all my friends and family about this
