We have just had our new Aira ASHP installed and I must commend the Aira team for carrying out a great job. They have carried out a process from the initial sales meeting Energy survey and implementation in a very professional manner. The ASHP is working great. The installation exceeds my expectations. I can totally recommend Aira and the new ASHP.

We have been looking into installing a heat pump for nearly two years, reading up on the technology and costs. It helps that my background includes control engineering. We asked several companies for surveys and quotes, including British Gas and Octopus as well as a few local ones. I was specifically looking for modern units efficient in broader range of temperatures. The long guarantee was also a criterion at this stage. Then I asked Aira. And was impressed by the breadth of the available information, by the ease of getting answers. And after all, if it is good enough for Sweden, then surely it’s good enough for Cumbria. The initial commitment (with the returnable deposit) opened up the design stage and I was very impressed by the ease, clarity and quality of communication with the designer. This helped me to make the decision to go ahead with Aira, and so far, two days after the completion and signing off, I am ever so pleased we went along with Aira. I have to add that at all stages (so far) you have a named dedicated contact/coordinator. This works really well and Liam has been very helpful. The installation involved rationalising the complex, sprawling CH system that had seen adding an extension and a loft conversion to the 1950’s bungalow. It required changing quite a few radiators and adding a couple more, where their detailed heat loss survey indicated a need for that. I was able to discuss a few versions of design with the dedicated designer who, incidentally, published a best selling book on low temperature heating systems. The installers’ gang were great to have here and in spite of the extent and nature of the work we were able to remain in the house (the electric shower in the guest bathroom and the wood burner in the living room helped in the end of October weather). They were extremely accommodating, courteous and friendly, checking with us anything that might be seen as controversial by a discerning/demanding house owner. And it was a pleasure to see their work culture: clean, efficient, dealing with much ingenuity with the surprises every older house hides. I looked at a few reviews here. I have not had a need to contact Aira’s support yet, but every question I had so far pre-installation, and every query and request I had during the install were addressed instantly. And I did ask a lot of technical questions, both daft and in-depth. Looking at the quality of the installed kit, the number and qualifications of installers - I believe that this is pretty good value for money. And this is before the special electricity tariff Aira Zero (with Octopus) kick in So far the system works smoothly, the design works out , keeping the temperatures where we want them. Both Octopus and Aira have been great so far. I do recommend Aira. Update in April 2025. The system was commissioned on 1st November 2024. Over the three winter months (Dec,Jan,Feb) we paid about £270 for energy. The same three months of the previous winter it was £470. The weather was different, but not that different. We also kept the house warmer this winter. The system works beautifully, the house is warm and feels cosy. Aira are easily reached and any support I needed was available nearly instantly. Excellent experience, great modern kit.

Our Aira heat pump was installed over 2 weeks ago, just in time for a cold spell in December. We had their smallest unit 6kW for 3 bed house and the smallest 100L hot water tank installed which the team managed to fit in a tight airing cubboard. The house is warm and comfy at 20°C and we have plenty of hot water. The water pressure is actually better than before. Our house has an energy rating C, so you don't need a masively insulated house to feel warm with a heat pump. The design flow temp is 45°C and SCOP of 4.1. The system designer was very patient answering all my questions and taking on board my tinkering with the types and numbers of radiators. All pipework was done neately, boxed in, so everything looks tidy. The way their installers managed to plumb the water tank inside that tiny airing cupboard required some considerable skill! Their office staff responds to emails promptly so excellent service from each part of the company. With BUS scheme reducing the price by £7500 I would totally recommend getting an air source heat pump from Aira.

Great customer service and product. Professional, knowledgeable and efficient experts from first contact through to completed installation, initial home visit was a highlight!
We are MCS‑certified and registered with an approved consumer protection/competent person scheme, which is essential for quality assurance and to access grants like the Boiler Upgrade Scheme (BUS).
We carry out a detailed home assessment, including property type, insulation levels, existing heating system and available outdoor space, to confirm whether a heat pump is a good fit.
We design the system using a heat‑loss calculation for your home, then match the correct kW size and model (for example, air‑source vs ground‑source) so it runs efficiently and reliably.
Our fixed quote clearly lists the heat pump, cylinder, controls, labour, scaffolding (if needed), electrical work and any radiator or pipework upgrades, so you know exactly what you’re paying for.
Yes, as an MCS installer we can confirm your eligibility, apply for the BUS grant (worth up to £7,500) on your behalf and deduct it directly from your quote.
A typical air‑source heat pump installation takes around 2–5 days, and we’ll agree locations for the indoor and outdoor units, manage any planning considerations and keep you informed each day.
After the heat‑loss survey, we’ll advise if any radiators, pipework, electrics or hot‑water cylinder need upgrading so the system can run efficiently at lower flow temperatures.
Modern heat pumps are designed to be quiet and must meet UK noise regulations; we’ll position the unit to minimise any impact on you and your neighbours and comply with local planning rules.
You’ll get manufacturer warranties on the heat pump plus our workmanship guarantee, and we offer ongoing servicing and support to keep your system performing at its best.
We’ll estimate your likely annual running costs and potential savings based on your current fuel type, insulation level and tariffs, using real‑world performance data rather than lab figures.
