I had 24 panels and 2 batteries fitted. The system works fantastically well. The app shows everything you need to know. The guy who did the work were great. From the electricians to the panel guys on the roof even the scaffolder were good. I would highly recommend Upvolt to install a system for you.

It’s very sad and unfortunate that it has come to this. Long story: I had solar panels installed 3 years ago during the summer months. When the installation was being carried out I noticed (and photographed) some scratches on the sides of some of the solar panels. I enquired at the time with one of the installation team as to whether this is a concern. I was told it was superficial damage. Anyway, the panels were installed and everything worked well. Fast forward to the beginning of a wet and windy winter (a mere 5 months after) and the panels kept on cutting out. I assumed it was a safety mechanism but I contacted the company (then Ohm Energy) to get some clarification. They responded that they’d received my email but no further response was given. I assumed that it wasn’t a concern for them and maybe just a safety trip for wild weather. Occasionally it would happen but it wasn’t often and it would work straight away. This winter just gone it happened again except it didn’t turn back on again. I contacted the company and they sent out an engineer. The engineer was a bit perplexed and thought it might be more serious. Another engineer from a different company eventually came and did a full inspection. His report identified the issue as water ingress into a damaged panel. I notified the company that this has been going on for a while and now was out of warranty. The company seemed to be finding a new panel to replace the damaged one. It went quiet for quite some time and then I contacted the engineer who came only to be told that they weren’t going to replace the panel! I had heard nothing from Ohm/Upvolt. To this day I have had no explanation as to why they are treating me like this and why they are not accepting liability for damage which clearly happened from the beginning. I have been emailing over and over trying to get a response, and now I’m emailing asked for their complaints procedure. I’m still not getting any response from them. Is this the Wild West? Is there any guarantee or protection for customers who buy solar panels? The customer service has been unbelievably shockingly poor. If I could give a 0 based on my experience, I would. As of today I’m emailing to ask for governing body details so I can make a formal complaint. I would avoid this company if I were you.

We had solar panels removed around make space for a velux window. The initial quote was £476, with reassurance that if the work took longer it would only be “slightly more”. However, the final bill came in at almost double this amount, and we were not contacted on the day to advise that costs were escalating or to seek approval before the work was completed. That said, communication during the dispute itself was polite and professional, and once we raised our concerns the company did engage constructively. They acknowledged that the wording used in the estimate was unhelpful and ultimately agreed to a reduced and more reasonable final price, which we appreciated. The work itself was completed, and while we were unhappy with how the pricing was handled initially, we were pleased that the matter was resolved amicably in the end. Clearer communication around estimates and cost overruns would significantly improve the experience.

A very positive experience. OHM installed an Air Source Heat Pump in May 2025. The whole process from initial survey to completion was friendly, professional and efficient. We are very happy with the quality of the work and would recommend OHM to anyone considering a heat pump.

A challenging task was tackled expertly by this company. The team of Russell, Simon, Henry, Gino, Adam, and Josh were cheerful and skilled in replacing all the radiators, siting the pump and squeezing the cylinder into a small space. A new shower was fitted very neatly. Everything is now in place and working. It's too soon to tell if the system will cope with cold weather, but so far so good. I can recommend OHM Energy as a heat pump installer.
